Good OG product
Great book to build confidence with dyslexic student. Used in conjunction with Great Word House Fluency Word List (also an Orton-Gillingham based book) was great. This book allowed her to work unassisted and feel very accomplished.

Built confidence, raised reading level
We purchased the first book (Volume A) for our son to work on over the summer after he struggled with reading throughout kindergarten and first grade and we were unable to find an available tutor. His teacher suspected he has dyslexia but the school wanted to wait until he's older before they assess him formally. After completing Volume A over the summer, his initial assessment at the start of second grade showed his reading level had gone up 5 levels so he was finally at standard/grade level. Before finishing the first book, he had already asked us to buy him the second book. Even though the workbook is definitely styled as worksheets, he enjoys completing the pages (he usually does 2-4 pages in a sitting). He is working his way through Volume B more slowly since he's only completing pages on weekends and school breaks when he has no assigned homework from school, but he's still showing significant progress on school assessments. Even more importantly to us- he is now willing and able to read books independently! It used to be torturous to try to get him to read aloud. The workbook is well made, with lots full color pictures, large clear font, and accessible instructions. The pages are thick enough that he can use pen or marker on them without bleeding through to the other side (I wouldn't try a sharpie though). The review pages in this edition have been especially helpful since he's not working with it as regularly.

Tremendous book to teach my 5 year old to read
My son is not dyslexic, but I thought that this approach simply might be more digestible for a new reader. Boy was I right. This workbook is fantastic and teaches concepts slowly and clearly. I am so happy I went this way for my new reader. He is reading beautifully and also spelling since the worksheets require both. I can't recommend this enough. My only suggestion: go through the concepts slowly and practice each sheet several times before moving on.I will be using this for my 4 year old once she turns 5 as well. She also is not dyslexic, but again, I think this slow and clear method is simply more accessible at an earlier age than other workbooks I've used and tried.Nobody encouraged this review. I took a shot and found and bought this on my own accord.

Such a great book!
I’ve reviewed the first book, and we just started working on this second one now. My son is almost 6, and he’s on the spectrum and we suspect dyslexia. I wanted to go slowly through the books but my son is picking it up so well and he just LOVES it and is so impatient to keep learning. I can’t thank this author enough and I’m so glad I found this on Amazon. The price and the quality just can’t be beat. I’ll definitely use these books again when my daughter is older, they are just so great.

Thanks to this my son will be literate!
My son isn’t being taught any secular studies at school. I’ve spent nights worrying that he will grow up illiterate. These books are saving us both. With no reinforcement at school, he is breezing through them, and is actually surpassing grade level in his reading! He loves doing the assignments, we’ve been doing a Lesson a day and I want to cry when I hear him reading.Planning to move on to blast off to reading as soon as we are done with book B.

If you dont know what you are doing in helping a child with dyslexia these books really help.
I have 2 dyslexic children and this set of books has been a big help. The color on the pages is really nice too. I purchased the 50 lesson plans as well to go along with the workbooks. Highly recommend.

Poor quality
The books back cover was bent. The pages were stuck together with what looked like a coffee stain on them. Very disappointed.
