Goodbye Odor Small Animal Waste Deodorizer

I didn't realize how much this stuff really works until I stopped using it for a few months. I used this for about 3 years for my many pet rats. At the moment I have eleven, but sixteen was the most I had at one time. They are about 80% litter trained. I don't know what possessed me to stop using this (probably the amount of money I was spending on this product, having to re-fill several 16 ounce water bottles almost daily). Anyway, within days their poop smell became very noticeable and stinky! It was pretty bad! I recently ordered two bottles of it and in less than two weeks I'm beginning to notice a decrease in odor. This stuff is worth it's weight in gold and I will never stop using it again. Note: The only drawback is that it does leave some residue in the water bottles that needs to be cleaned with a bottle brush. Also, I highly recommend using glass bottles (which is healthier than plastic).

This product really works! It has virtually eliminated the cage odor of our 3 female rats. The product does not deter them from drinking their water at all. On the contrary, they are only interested in the water bottle that contains GoodBye Odor, and have been ignoring their other bottle with plain water. Knowing how well it works and that the rats are staying hydrated, we'll be mixing it into all of their water from here on out. UPDATE: After several months the odor was becoming stronger and stronger. It seemed like to product was no longer working. We stopped using it for one week. When we started using it again, it was extremely effective. Once in a while your animals may need a break from the product to "reset" their systems, but don't stop entirely!

Works great. I add three pumps into my rats water and that's all there is to it. I do this every time I change their water. Pros: 1. Lessens and perhaps for some people comes close to eliminating the smell in a small animals habitat. 2. Price isn't exorbitant for what you get. I feel it's a good value for the results I'm getting. 3. Very easy solution to a common problem that many other products can't do much about. 4. Appears to be all natural and will not harm your pets. Cons: 1. Product's bottle could use a redesign or they should just get a new one that isn't as cheap. I understand that they need to keep costs down, but turn it upside down and the product comes out of the bottle even when the top is screwed on tight. My first shipment of this was packaged with some other things I'd bought and the bottle leaked all over everything in my shipment. The next one I received was covered in so much tape to avoid the leakage that it appears this is a long standing issue that could easily be addressed by changing to a new bottle. 2. For me the product itself has a strange not to pleasant smell, but that's not why I bought it :) Conclusion: I love it. I have 4 Rats and they have a rather large Habitat, but like to dirty up the same spots every day and it gets smelly. Only after a week of using this I've noticed a HUGE decrease in odors coming from their habitat. Others in my household have also confirmed the results. I recommend it to anyone that has 1 or more small pets that smell things up.

We have 3 male mice and their stink is a million times worse than our male rat. We had to put our mice in the laundry room to keep us sane. This product is been a complete Godsend and 2 weeks later they stink less than day 1 when we got them! I can’t recommend this product more!!

Did not work for our male mouse - Actually seemed to make things worse. We have a male mouse. I did not know they were prone to such stinkiness when we got him, but he is super cute and fun. The smell was not terrible but was bad enough to make us want to do something about it. I bought this with high hopes, but after a week and a half of using it, the smell was decidedly worse. I spot clean, remove dirty bedding every night, and do a complete cage clean every weekend, so I don't think it is the cage condition I have two guesses as to why: 1) He drank less water because of the taste, and therefore the pee was more concentrated. I did taste the water myself after adding the solution and there was a small difference in taste, but it didn't taste bad necessarily. Perhaps mice taste things differently. 2) According to my research, mice mark less if they have some items they consistently smell their scent on. Maybe this does work and he couldn't smell it anymore, so he increased his marking. Too bad.

Works good, can tell the scent has decreased while using. Pricey though

Helps with the smell a lot doesn't take it away completely through. Also leaves a slimy film in the water bottle, but does the job.

I have been using this product for my 4 male pet rats and it has made a difference. There was a reduction in smell after using it in their water for two weeks. They still have a rat smell to them but their poos have a sweeter smell and its less offensive. I will be buying another bottle once this has finished. I do recommend putting it in their water rather than food as you're less likely to forget to give it them and you know everyone in the cage is getting some.

No problem with the seller, however I have found that the manufacturer of this product is unethical and runs intensive farming small animal operations to supply not only the pet trade but the lab research industry. I will not be putting any more of my money in their pocket as I don't support those ethics. The product itself is not great, so I won't be sad to not buy it again. GoodBye Marshall Pet products.
