MICRO RECON I

I like this knife. It is very tiny, smaller than i imagined, and is very cute. But i can hold it in my hand, and use it for light duty. And it is leagal almost everywhere, except courts and plains and maybe a few other places. It easily fits into 5th pocket. I can open it and close with one hand, though not quickly. I am glad i got it.

It is very compact but that's what I wanted when I ordered it. It is pretty much just a box opener so my regular knife doesn't get used for opening boxes. For no bigger than it is it has a little weight, definitely sturdy, stays sharp.

My fist knife memories start about 1956 when grandpa O. gave me a miniature fake ivory handle keychain knife with the working edge ground flat and a chain that some years later would actually hold keys. By the middle of first grade, I already had a modest collection of three or four, being lovingly stored in a new cigar box still radiating the aroma of fresh cigars along with magnetic dogs, agates and several other long forgotten treasures. Over the years I’ve been fortunate enough to have experienced the joys of owning hundreds upon hundreds if not thousands of sharpened metal pieces in almost every conceivable size and shape. Three plus decades ago I bought dozens of knives when 1st introduced by Lynn Thompson. I remember watching the ads of them being stabbed into 55-gallon drums and then being used to shave arm hair. Absolutely true, every bit of it. As a general acknowledgement of what I consider a continued tradition of designing and manufacturing fine edged weapons and implements It’s my pleasure to wholeheartedly recommend your purchase of Cold Steel products.

These are really cool small and surpringly tough knives. Good for a knife you can throw anywhere or a blade to have on you if going into an environment where larger blades may not be appropriate. Also decent for a backup knife, or ultra light weight carry. These also make good projects for customization. They are really light weight and small but have enough handle to get a grip on so you can still work them like a larger blade. The triad lock ensures as well it's guna stay open. Keep in mind these are plastic handles with faux g10 print, and are utilitarian. Cold Steel does a good job, but these are definitely made to be small and affordable, not fancy.

Pretty sharp and seems high quality

Sure, it's a tiny knife, but of all the keychain-sized blades I own, this one is the mightiest. I've been a fan of Cold Steel's triad lock on bigger blades; it's just as robust on this little guy. The blade is incredibly sharp, perfect for opening packages, cutting threads, and even small prying jobs. Slips into a watch pocket completely for times when I need to be discreet about having a knife. My normal keychain knife has been a Kershaw Cinder; that knife has a more reinforced area to attach to a key ring than this one, but the Micro Recon is easily the better overall knife. If you like having a choice of what size knife you EDC, or like me, tend to carry a larger blade and a small one for different tasks, this is a good choice for something small.

Perfect size for a keychain knife which is what I wanted it for. It seems well built.

OK, it admittedly took me a minute to really appreciate this overbuilt (still meant in the good knife way) little blade as a legit small tactical knife. Realized tonight that I can get a secure three-finger grip on the handle, reliably flip open using either-side thumb stud and it is scary sharp. Thing is not a joke or just a novelty. A left CS knife. Very cool.

Excelente tamaño, diseño y filo. No es tan compacta, es un poco robusta pero esta cómoda en el bolsillo. A pesar de ser china es ta excelente!

若干握りの柄でザラザラ感がありますが、使えそうです。

Leer completos los datos por que están los de otro modelo. Este es el compacto, muy fácil de llevar, queda de llavero, tiene muy buen filo

Es increíble un filo de miedo el bloqueo es muy seguro estas confiado que no se va abrir en el bolsillo
