Great alternative to the official case
Update after 3 weeks: Even if you buy the magic keyboard, you will also want this case as the magic keyboard is so heavy and sometimes you just want something light weight to carry around.—I've owned an ipad since the iPad 2 and had official and non-official cases. I use the iPad every day and it goes everywhere with me. This means they cases get worn and they always, including the official ones, needs replacing within a year or two. This review is for the 2020 version for the 12.9" iPad Pro.The price on this case is outstanding and looks almost as good as the official one. It isn't quite as strudy and has a slight bit of leteral movement compared to the official one, but at the price I just can't fault it.I bought this as an interim "throw-away" case while I am waiting on the Magic Keyboard, but actually it would absolutely suit as a permanent case. It looks good, feels good, smells good (!) and does exactly what it says on the tin.If you see this for less than £20, just go for it, it is a no-brainer. I would be amzed if you could find a better case for less than this.

Surprised at how good this is
Came quickly and fits the 12.9 ipad perfectly.Cut outs exactly where they need to be and can charge the apple pencil no problem.Nice and rigid with strong magnets so you can actually draw as well and the case doesn't fall over or fall apart like earlier iPad pro cases did.Only thing is the case is quite heavy adding almost half of the weight of the iPad to it. For the 12.9 though which is already big if it's mostly on a table or your lap you won't notice.

Great case, but...
I'm lucky enough to have 11 iPads of various sizes & from every year & although the official cases are good, they are not only very expensive but weren't made for every addition of iPad. That's where ESR come in. They have been my go-to if I've ever needed a case to protect my new iPad or just fancied a different colour. The quality has always been amazing & that's no different with this case. The folds on the front bend well to form a stand & magnetises very well, the magnetic closure is very strong & the inside of the front of the case is very soft so you can be sure the screen is protected. The back is a solid piece of rubber I guess you'd call it & there is the perfect space for your iPencil to sit charging; the rest of the iPad is encased. Unfortunately, that's where there's a problem. The space for the speakers hasn't been cut out very well so the speakers at the bottom & top are partially covered. That's the only thing that lets this case down & it's such a shame.

great case, saved money by buying this and protect your Ipad pro
If you purchased an ipad pro, by now you probably realized you didn't really need it and a normal ipad would have been fine as netflix and you tube aren't really taxing that A12Z ARM processor. But you still need to protect your very expensive product. This is the case for you... start recouping by buying an excellent protective case at a fraction of the cost of many other options. It really is a great case wrt to function and protection. look and feel also aesthetically pleasing. A must buy from me.

Excellent quality
I purchased the new iPad Pro and obviously needed a case - given the fact the Apple version is £85, I figured I'd try this one and have been very pleased. When I first opened the box, I did think it felt a little cheap but after fixing it to the iPad and using it for a day or two, I was wrong - the case feels well made and there is not enough of a difference to warrant the price of Apple's vs this. The case also seems to have a couple of magnets on the back that hold the flap in place when using it as a stand which is a nice feature and stops the case collapsing when typing etc...

Good product
Does what it says on the box. I like that it has a felty side that faces the screen, it’s comforting to know that my screen won’t be scratched. Easy to put on the iPad, looks great.

Pencil doesn’t feel secure when attached
Was initially pleased with this case as it fit so much better than a previous case I bpought. However, I found that the Apple pencil falls off the side a lot. Does not feel secure enough. If you like keeping your pencil with your iPad then I strongly advise getting a case with a pencil holder. Also, the cover doesn’t fold back comfortably. The iPad doesn’t really rest on the folded flap - slips off.

Did the job until I could buy a better case..
I was really pleased with the case initially, but it soon became apparent it was pretty flimsy. It didn’t stay on my iPad particularly well, normally covers need to be prised off, this just peeled back with normal movement. The auto sleep/wake didn’t work... I have another cover now.
