Neither beautiful, nor practical... nor durable
In the box I received, the brewing pot was already shattered into a collection of small pieces on arrival, so I can only really comment on the serving and tasting cups; however it does say something for the quality of the set and the borosilicate glass that it had shattered despite being apparently well-packaged. I can say with confidence that this is not a durable set! The glass is so fragile that even if one part hadn’t arrived broken, I would’ve still been very nervous about putting this in our dishwasher, even though it claims to be dishwasher-proof.The stainless steel filter (once I’d checked it for glass shards) is quite good. There’s a very fine metal mesh on it which keeps all but the very faintest of tea dust from getting into the cup, giving me a pure bit-free tea which is the way I like it.Make sure you’ve checked the sizes before ordering, so you’re aware just how small the tasting cups are- 60ml of tea is less than one gulp’s worth in the world of English breakfast tea. It’s a set that lends itself to a dainty, showy ceremonial tea tasting affair, and it works well with a rose petal tea or a dessert-like flavoured rooibos where taste, rather than refreshment, is the aim. However you won’t be able to work this into your daily tea-drinking routine, it’s simply too miniature. It’s a novelty item, for sure, but it lacks the sense of style and occasion that would make it feel properly ceremonial and stylish. Instead the serving cup feels too much like a thin glass version of a basic kitchen pouring jug, the kind you might use to pour sauce on your Sunday roast. There’s no ‘wow’ factor, and none of your house guests are going to say “ohhh those glasses are lovely”- they’re just far too ordinary. As such they seem to fall between two stools- neither practical nor beautiful- and with a current asking of thirty-five quid, they don’t currently seem like good value either.

A very nice, but tiny Tea Set.
This tea set looks amazing. The packaging is great - with each piece individually bubble wrapped in the box.As for the tea set itself:The mesh between the leaves and the water is very fine, which means that you are much less likely to get leaves into your tea which is good. It also means that it takes longer to brew, which is good for me as I drink green tea as if it is brewed too long then it is very bitter, but if you drink your preferred tea strong then it might not be for you.The jug which comes with it I believe is for pouring your tea into from the teapot when it has reached the desired strength but I am using it as a hot water top up and it works well for that. The biggest surprise for me though, was how small it all is. The listing does include the capacities but I just didn’t picture it as being SO small, the cups hold about a mouthful in each of them. I believe this is the right size for Chinese ceremony tea but it feels very impractical for frequent use.The jug holds a standard mug volume in it and the teapot slightly more so if you use the jug for hot water topping up the teapot then you get 2 normal sized mugs worth out of it which actually suits me very well. The tea tastes very nice from the tiny glass cups. The glass for the teapot and jug conducts the heat a fair bit - though so they do cool down fast (the handles don’t heat up though)FYI the cups - the tiny cups might be awkward to drink from if you have a big nose - likewise if you have big massive hands (like me) when holding the cup handles.(See picture for size comparison of the set when held by a friend with average adult sized hands)

Small can be beautiful.
Please not this set is not designed for builder's tea.The tasting cups bearly hold 60mls. In coffee terms that will hardly hold an expresso.Sometimes we see, like and buybefore we read. In a shop on display we'd look and think it was a child's doll tea-set.When shopping on-line it pays to read reviews and note product description.Beautifully fashioned in borosilicate glass. This modern material resists chemicals and acid degradation, you don't need to worry about stuff seeping into your water. It's always safe to drink from. You can put it in the dishwasher, put it in the microwave, use it to store hot liquids or leave it out in the sun. This is where tea drinking is for pleasure not for quaffing and rehydrating. The milk jug and tea pot including stainless steel strainer make this an attractive item but buyer beware. Look before your steep!

A lovely set but with tiny teacups
This glass teapot set is ideal for green tea, and the pot contains a stainless steel infuser to avoid the need for a tea strainer when using loose tea. The tea can be decanted into the accompanying glass jug, allowing for the pot to be refilled as you brew more tea. However, I was surprised by the minuscule teacups. They really are tiny (60 ml) and hold no more than a couple of mouthfuls of tea. They're like expresso-sized cups, but for tea. This is definitely more for show than brewing up a mug of builder's tea!The set is delicately made and I would recommend hand-washing it, even though it is supposed to be ok to go in the dishwasher.

Lovely miniature tea set
Lovely quality tea set. That includes the tea pot, milk jug and four cups.Looks lovely but note that the set is a miniature set which more suitable for luxury/herbal Chinese teas and not for your normal breakfast tea.Would make a lovely gift to a tea lover.
