Why is this so freaking expensive? You can do the same thing with 2 tennis balls and a sock!

From your question it is obvious you have never tried our tools; there really is no comparison here.For those with questions about the effectiveness of our tools, please take a moment to read our reviews.  They are all by real customers, many are from professional therapists.  We have not, and will not provide free product or otherwise pay for reviews.  Part of the reason Massage Blocks are on the market, and doing so well, is that there are so many ineffective and gimmicky solutions out there, i.e. 2 tennis balls in a sock, vibrating rotating tools made of hard plastic and foam pillows.  Our tools are made in the USA of premium thick walled synthetic rubber via a very time intensive molding process.  These may appear inexpensive to make, they are not.  This design is an uncompromised effort to produce the most effective and powerful trigger point tools on the market, we believe that goal has been realized.  Please know using Massage Blocks can be very intense and is not for everyone! Can this be use ? for back pain

It depends on where your back pain is.  If the pain is below your pelvic ridge or between your shoulder blades, yes.  If the pain is low and close to your spine, we recommend the low back tools.  If the pain is away from the spine or higher up, or below the pelvic ridge, we generally recommend the small, or medium block.  For glute major or sciatica/piriformis syndrome we recommend the Large Block.

Keep in mind everyone is different (this is why we sell so many tools), different people like different tools for different things.  Some people do use the included Twin Block (without the base) for back pain particularly between the shoulder blades.

I've used one of the red "still point inducers" and would like something a little firmer. Can anyone compare the two?

I've never used the red "still point inducers," but I can tell you that this Twin Block Pro is very firm and works great!  Well worth the price.

I already have the blocks. Is it possible to purchase just the base?
