I am so angry with this product, I took a chance and was beyond disappointed. All was going PERFECTLY, it arrived a day early, the charging box stickers lined up perfectly and applied SO smooth but when it came to my actual switch is when issues became clear. The back of my switch applied just fine no issues but the front is a whole different story. No matter what I did, how I lined it up... it was janky. I lined up the buttons and the screen was wonky, lined up the screen and the buttons were covered. There’s literally no way for this front sticker to work. It also ripped after a solid 5 tries because no matter what we did... it did NOT line up. So the front isn’t cut precise and it’s defectiveThe handles were basically the same, they were a bit smoother but not by much. For $30 I’m angry and want my money back because I can’t use half the stickers or they are all janky some pieces are longer and some shorter and it doesn’t make sense.I really love how my switch charger box looks but my actual switch looks so bad honestly

It’s Actually Not Bad
TL;DR: Very nice product with some flaws in shipping, the Front Switch and back Joycon skins, but nothing detrimental. Requires great patience, great attention to detail, and time. If you lack any of this I cannot recommend the product. The final, prospective result is very worth it. Please be sure to at least read the Tips and check out the photos.---------------------------------I thought this product was in desperate need of a detailed review considering the scarcity of informative feedback it has. Because of this, buying it was a leap of faith, but it was a leap that paid-off. Contrary to its mostly negative-mix reviews out of the tiny few that exist, I am actually quite satisfied with how mine turned out.I’ll begin by stating that I got this product (the Full $32 Set) along with my new Nintendo Switch as a gift from my boyfriend. I took some time contemplating how I wanted to beautify it, and ultimately after some searching decided that a vinyl skin product like this would be best since I didn’t want to risk damaging my Switch by taking it apart in order to replace the drab exterior shell.First off, frankly the shipping is just awful. There was already a strike against this product for not being available for Amazon Prime, and for me it did not arrive early but managed to turn up in the mail two days late – that was me waiting over a week for the product which didn’t make me happy one bit. It arrived in one-piece at least with all the parts, and the packaging was somewhat simple. My second complaint would be mainly about the front skin for the console itself. I hadn’t realized when I was picking out my order, but the front skin is designed to cover too much of the front of the Switch’s screen for my comfort. If you look closely at the example photos, the skin extends partially onto the device’s actual screen… where most screen protectors cover. Because of that I had made the executive decision not to use the front skin, which I felt was a waste, as it would obstruct the screen-protector use/placement and ultimately I did not feel comfortable with that. I wish they had an alternative design where the front only covered just the edges that outlined it – I would have definitely liked and preferred that instead. I did however utilize the back vinyl skin to decorate the back of my device. Before getting to the actual product portion of this review however I’ll preempt with a warning: This definitely is NOT the type of product for people who are impatient or have issues with following directions. The product is actually good, though not perfect; but only if you apply it correctly, take your time, and follow the directions. If you do all that then you will achieve pleasing results. The process for me was time-consuming and delicate, but worth it. I liken it to placing multiple screen-protectors, but 10x more delicate procedure than that. If you hate that kind of thing and you just don’t have the patience or time then I’d strongly advise you not to bother buying this.So here are some tips to assist those who do choose it:- READ the directions, all of them. I’m not lying when I tell you that they are helpful in getting you successful results. - Unless your device is dirty, I’d just skip the damp cloth and use a regular one; the cloth I utilize to clean my glasses worked just as fine.- Working on a flat, clean surface really helps. Also helps to work in a well-lighted area as well.- Make sure you’re utilizing the correct vinyl skin for whatever surface you’re applying it to BEFORE attempting to apply it.- As the directions recommends you must be VERY gentle/prudent when handling the product. Though the skins are very nice quality they are prone to fragility and can easily tear if you’re not handling them carefully enough. Which is why when you are first placing and aligning them to your device or accessory take care to not hard-press the skin onto its surface just yet until you are 100% sure of its alignment. This makes it easier to pick back up the skin to readjust multiple times if needed. And like the directions state, do not immediately smooth down the edges.- A hair dryer IS A MUST. Just like how the directions recommend, the hair dryer is just something you cannot skip and is essential. Trust me; it really does assist you in getting a clean, smooth finish at the end.- When utilizing the hair dryer for the curved edges, low heat is good enough. Once the material is ‘softened’ enough (you can tell by feeling/looking at it) smooth it down and over as much as possible with your fingers while simultaneously applying pressure with something thin, blunt and flat (I used my fingernails, which are long but shaped blunt) on any creases; think of it as you trying to smooth out air bubbles when applying a screen protector – it works the same way for this product, I swear! But only thanks to the heat from the hair-dryer. If it’s still not giving in try applying more heat and keep at it. This may take some time, but it’s definitely worth it when you see the final, smooth product in the end. Most of these tips are mentioned in the directions, but I just expanded on a couple of them, especially the one regarding the hair-dryer as it doesn’t explain in particular about smoothing out the edges like you would air-bubbles in screen protectors. This is why my first tip was to read the instructions provided. For the most part my experience as I had mentioned was time-consuming and tedious; and I loathe applying screen-protectors as much as the next person. Nevertheless, I can be a very patient person when needed. The hair dryer was extremely helpful; I found that by utilizing my long, blunt fingernails in conjunction with the hair dryer on low heat I was able to eliminate and smooth out 98% of the creases as implied in the instructions. For the most part I thought the entire process was a pain, but in the end I felt that all the effort was definitely worth it. So I’m not going to claim that this product is easy to use. I mentioned earlier that it’s not perfect as well, and that is true. For the most part I had an easier time applying the skins to my dock, the back of the Switch, and to the front and sides of the Joycons. The backs though? Forget it. It was a complete nightmare. This led me to believe that the back skins for the joycons at least were not cut as precisely as advertised, for no matter how much I tried I could not easily find a way to get it lined up perfectly with the back of either Joycon. I’m thinking that because the back of the Joycons aren’t as flat as the Switch and most of its accessories it’s an overall awkward and difficult fit; I wish they had somehow made the skin for the backs at least different so that it made it much easier and less flummoxing to place them properly. Because of my struggle, the back of my Joycons are the only thing that look noticeably imperfect, mostly at the bottom top parts where it curves dramatically, but overall I’m satisfied with the results. I seldom look at the back of the Joycons anyway.Overall I’m very happy with the way my Switch turned out. It looks absolutely gorgeous in my opinion. The pink color not only pops nicely, but it’s very cute (Pink is probably my top #1 favorite color), and it’s really transformed my drab looking Joy-cons into something attractive to look at. I use it with a cute, but thick, protective case and all of it combined makes it look very lovely and I couldn’t have done it without this skin. And so my final verdict: Satisfied with the product, but with some qualms. I don’t like that it’s not available for prime and that we had to pay for shipping, only for the product to arrive later than its projected delivery date. I don’t like the cut of the skins for the back of the Joycons, nor the design for the Switch’s front skin. And lastly, do I think it’s worth the price? Honestly, no. Factoring the specific issues I had with the order /set with having to pay extra for shipping, despite my satisfaction I thought the price was a little too much. I’m not disappointed though; and certainly not disappointed to want any kind of reimbursement. I say it’s better than having to take the shell of my Switch apart and risk damaging it. It’s because of all these culminating factors however that I struggled with the rating and ended up with a 3.5.Oh and I’ve also provided some pictures to not only give anyone a visual reference, but to also show what you can expect with this item. In the one that shows the back of my Switch you can see how much I struggled with the top part of the back of the joycons, but it could be worse.
