Secure your railing post
Worked great. Watched some YouTube videos on how to install and it is exactly what I was looking for. Very sturdy and worth the money. I would buy it again.

The BEST way to anchor a Newell Post. Can’t go wrong with these.
Zip bolts are the best way to attach Newell posts to the floor. They are easy to use if you follow the detailed instructions which are included. Very important to have the correct size (3/8 and 5/8 spade) and length (about 8” to 10” long) drill bits including a 1.5” Forster bit. They came with the T40 bit needed to tighten the bolt. These are excellent and we’re not carried by any local building supply stores.

Definitely makes for a super clean install
Wanted this for my new railing. It works very well but isn't the most sturdy. Could be my application and definitely serves its purpose. But I wonder if it would actually hold up a full grown adult. You do have to push on it fairly decent to move it. Plus I only have 2 4x4 posts using these fasteners and the 3rd 4x4 is fastened to the wall, all in a straight line.

Don't waste time with anything else.
So I saw this on YouTube, and was gonna order it, but originally it wasn't gonna make it in time for when I planned on doing the project. So I bought the one from the big box stores that just gmhad a regular nut. It was absolutely worthless! There was barely any room to get a wrench on it and the only way I was able to get a 3/4 wrench in there was to grind about 1/4" off the side of the wrench. Then, almost immediately, the nut started biting in at a slant and became crossthreaded. I almost got so frustrated trying to get it off I considered just cutting off the newal and starting fresh. After 2 hours, I finally got it off with minimal newal damage. My wife encouraged me to just stop- cool off and order the zip bolt and wait. From the moment it arrived, it took all of five minutes for me to tear open the package and set the newal post solid. This really does work just as fast and easy as the YouTube video and I really wish I would have just started with the zip bolt. I highly recommend it.

Does just what it should
I don't write many reviews but I hope this one will help someone installing this in concrete. The bolt works great, the post is solid once tightened. I had a hard time gathering information to find for concrete installations so I'm going to explain how I did it: If you're installing in concrete, make sure your bit is an 1/8" bigger than the diameter of the bolt. Drill down as far as mentioned on the directions. Clean out all dust from the hole with a shop vac, brush, bolt, etc. Get the dust out completely, then I used the following epoxy: Sika Anchorfix-2, super strength anchoring adhesive, Two component anchor system for threaded bars in uncracked concrete, 10.1 fl. Oz https://a.co/d/2JaAc69 Filled the hole up about halfway, then filled the threads on the bolt as well. Work quick, the stuff sets in 4 minutes. I waited a day before I put the post on a tightened it down. Hope this helps someone.

Not as advertised
The fastener striped first time I tried to install, and now won't spin. Basically is jammed and can no longer be used. The gear drive technology did not last

The rachet gears kept jamming. After numerous attempts, I had to oil the gears and then it finally worked as it should.

They worked pretty good for attaching the newel posts into the floor system, I’d probably use these again in the future
