This product is well made and cost effective to run.I use them for heating my Jumping Spider Enclosures & they are really easy to incorporate into your setup as the mat is slimline.You simply lean it up the back of the enclosure (do not place under jumping spider enclosures).I highly recommend using an additional seperate thermostat control alongside this mat.

Very reliable heat at I use for my hatchling snakes in their tubs. ALWAYS USE A THERMOSTAT

Bought this to use for my hognose baby snake as he will be in a small tub for quite some time. I do not like the temperature dial on it at all. There is no temperature guide on it or anything. So would recommend ALWAYS using this with a thermostat so you can control it with the temp cable.

I bought this mat for my desert locusts in tank 60L x40H x 30W cm. Full heat 50°C. Decided to place it on the back wall, added extra layer of kitchen foil and cardboard to just to prevent from losing heat from the back. I am very happy so far! It generates enough heat to keep my pets healthy what depending on places varies from 24-37°C. Glass wall heats up to 40°C. Just right. This mat can be reused placed in different places due to laminated protection and this is its advantage. It's second day of usage, hope will last long.

I used three of these mats for my ball python khaleesi and on two occasions the mats failed on me. One the first occasion it failed on me and and the temp went well over 75 degrees celcious without any means to cool it down and it actually left a burn mark on the base of my glass so that was another thing I lost due to these mats too. on the second it failed but I was lucky to catch it but unfortunately a day or so ago my snake had presented herself as dead to me when I opened my tank only to find that the mat had full failed again and the tank went really cold causing my ball python to freeze. My thermostat was telling me that the indicated temp range was right as a result of reading the whole Vivs temp so I thought nothing of it and thought all was well and good. But I should have know with these mats to check it due to the high risk of failure I’ve had over three occasions with this product and because of this fault I’ve lost one of my beloved pets. It also happened with my corn snakes mat too but luckily I noticed and was able to change it out for a better product from swell reptiles. It’s a joke and it’s caused a loss for me. I’m not gunna sit and tell you guys what to but buy please bear in mind other’s experiences when it comes to a live animal that could lose its life.
