These are awesome!! I bought these scissors to replace a mediocre pair that came with a premium knife block set. They arrived sharp as heck and have continued to stay sharp over the past 3 months. They cut through wired ribbon without trouble and are great for general kitchen use. The flat tip on the end of each handle is a great makeshift screwdriver and works well to break the vacuum seal on jars. They are comfortable and don’t hurt my small hands. They come apart easily and go through the dishwasher (on the top rack) without any signs of rust or damage. If you are on the fence about these, just get them. You won’t regret it.

I bought these for my wife after I ruined her old pair, and they were a clear upgrade in every way. The quality is immediately obvious. They are very sharp, feel great in the hand, and have a solid, well balanced feel that inspires confidence when using them. They also clean easily thanks to the detachable blades. They feel like a buy it for life item. I am very happy with the purchase, and more importantly, my wife is too.

If one needs good all purpose kitchen shears (and who doesn’t?) these fit the bill nicely. They’re excellent quality, come apart for easy cleaning, AND…they’re actually sharp. Nothing worse than trying to cut something simple and feeling like you’re trying to chew through it with two spoons. They’ll always have a place in my knife bag. Spatchcock a bird? Not a problem. Though I wouldn’t use them on larger turkey bones. But then that’s also outside of the intended use. Cut through the wire that seemingly gets twisted in multiple directions around stuff like celery? No issues. Got a stubborn cap on something like grenadine that’s fused itself to the bottle? Sorted. Standing outside by a grill or smoker and need a “refreshment?” Bottle opener to the rescue. ;-) Are they a bit spendy? Perhaps…but still a heck of a lot less than most of my knives…and they’re kinda one trick ponies in comparison. So for ME, I think the value is there. They’re well made, comfortable to use, and will probably last for years with proper care.

I've been using one of these for 3 years now . I ihink the best test of a pair of shears is breaking down a chicken, and the Shun gets an A+. Separates the backbone with minimal effort. The notch easily goes through wing and leg joints. The quality of the steel is excellent, I run it through the dishwasher and have not seen a spot of rust ever. There are a couple of gimmicks Shun could drop. There is a twist off bottle opener that can grab a ketchup or bbq sauce cap, but nothing larger than about 1 1/4 inch diameter. And there is an old fashioned lever bottle opener for beer and soda caps while almost every beverage company in the western world uses twist off caps. And those things at the end of the handle that look like screwdrivers? For what? Come on Shun. Look at the calendar. This is 2025. Lose some of the useless frills and knock a few $ off the price.

Using these shears has genuinely made certain kitchen tasks faster and less annoying. Breaking down a chicken is no longer a wrestling match. Opening stubborn jars is a breeze. I even used the screwdriver tip to tighten a wobbly cabinet handle the other day. My toolkit is jealous. Yes, they cost more than your average pair of kitchen scissors. But these aren't average. They're superior. They're durable, incredibly sharp, and ridiculously versatile. They've earned their prime spot in my knife block (sorry, knives, you have to share now). These shears are fantastic - the best I have tried! They are very sharp and so smooth to use. Easy to disassemble/reassemble for cleaning and wiping off.

Great Scissors for cutting my meats for Stews and Soups. I purchase ordered in England from the Company in the USA and the Scissors arrived with no problems. I chop meats into small pieces into a pot and Hawkins Pressure Cooker them into a great Stew in short time, like 15 minutes. Great for at home, and whilst Camping. No need for a chopping board and knife, just hold the meats and Snip with the Scissors. A great quality Steel. 👍👍👍

Schneidet unfassbar gut. Nicht nur Lebensmittelverpackungen oder Kräuter, sondern auch Materialien, wie dicke Plastikleisten bei einer Sanierung waren kein Problem. Einzig das Material der Griffe macht den Eindruck, dass es bei viel Druck brechen könnte.
