Give these people their patent!
I'm really dangerous when it comes to plumbing - really dangerous. I needed to install a new tub faucet. I ordered a faucet, got a couple of pieces of Pex, some tape, and a few Sharkbite elbows. 2 out of the 3 Sharkbite elbows seemed to connect fine onto the plastic threads of the faucet. The 3rd wouldn't do anything but cross-thread which noticeably damaged the threads on the faucet. I went to Lowe's to get another faucet and also look for some other way to connect the waterline with something other than the metal Sharkbite elbow. The only thing they had was an elbow that had to be connected with a crimper which just seemed...out of my league and definitely outside my toolset. Being hardheaded, I picked up a new faucet and decided I'd be really careful not to cross-thread it this time. No matter how careful I was, it cross-threaded anyway. I decided to get on Amazon and see if anyone made a Pex to Faucet elbow that was plastic. Honestly I would have thought Sharkbite would have made something (that didn't require a crimper), but was surprised to only find this little elbow. I am thrilled to say this worked like a charm! It screwed onto my faucet with ease and not even the least bit of threat of cross-threading. It says the patent is pending and all I have to say is give these folks their patent! Very thankful for someone's invention and being able to file this project into the done category. Already ordered 3 more for my next faucet replacement project. 10/10 will definitely eat here again.
