Grk Takes Revenge

I bought this book after the author visited my son's junior school in year 4, he actually wanted to read it... The text is quite small so it was a bit of a shock to my son (hence only 4 stars) because the Guy Bass books that he had been reading have larger text with some sketch drawings. The smaller text did dicourage him a little at first because it takes longer to read (he is fixated with couinting the number of pages he has read!). However now he's into the story he loves it, highly recommended, even for a reluctant reader!

We will c what my 8 yr old thinks?! LOL

My son loved it! Virtually read it cover to cover within hours of receiving it!

I have an 11 year old son who only reads football comics. Last Christmas, I bought him 3 GRK books and read him the first two. He then read the third one himself - first novel type book he has ever read. The series of GRK books are great adventure stories about an 11 yr old boy and his faithful dog grk. The stories contain descriptive text, cliff-hangers, emotions, absorbing descriptions of many different locations around the world, friendship, loyalty, bravery and humour. When this book arrived, my son was really excited and couldn't wait to start reading it. Brilliant!

The Grk series of books are a great way to introduce boys to reading with their fun storylines about the adventures of Tim, Natasha and Max and their ever faithful dog, Grk.
