Easy to install, inexpensive, MASSIVE UPGRADE!
When I was a kid, I remember discovering the existence of dimmers, and thought they were amazing! But my dad said they were really expensive, and then you have to hire an electrician, so it's even more expensive. HE WAS SO WRONG! I don't have a lot of experience doing DIY electrical work, but I've installed a few light fixtures. This was MUCH easier to install. Of course, you do need to understand the basics of household electricity, but some YouTube videos ought to do the trick. This was not hard to install! I installed a very bright light fixture with lots of bare Edison bulbs over my kitchen table, and we found it blinding! A dimmer was the solution! Now we can have bright light when we want it for working on projects at the kitchen table, or much softer lighting at meals. I LOVE IT. It's easy to tap the knob to turn it on and off, and easy to twist the knob to adjust the brightness. There are much more expensive dimmers out there, but I can't imagine why you would want anything more complicated than this! I love that the design is very plain, so it doesn't draw attention to itself, and that it comes with two colors of knobs to make sure it matches your switchplate. FYI, you don't need a special switchplate! I was looking all over Amazon to find a specialty wall plate for a dimmer, but turns out, you just use a regular light switch cover plate, and the knob covers up the rectangular hole for the old light switch. I realized I had a lighting problem in my bedroom, too. I got bedside lamps and smart bulbs for them, so I could have softer lighting that didn't blind me when I laid down in bed, because the chandelier hanging in the center of the room DID blind me! So I ordered another of these dimmer switches, and installed it myself in a few minutes. PROBLEM SOLVED. Now I can dim the chandelier! Just be aware that not all LED bulbs are dimmable. The bulbs in my chandelier act up every now and then, flickering unpleasantly for about a minute. But then they stop. I will probably replace them sometime, but right now it's not enough of an annoyance. The bulbs in my dining fixture dim just fine, no problems. Since I didn't have dimmers when I purchased the bulbs, I didn't pay any attention to whether they're dimmable, but I will be paying attention to that from now on!

Work perfectly
These work perfectly. Other reviewers have said that there is not a click on off. Both of mine click on off properly. The best part is they work with modern LEDs, and have an adjustable low-end cut off, so you can set the maximum level of dimness when you dim down. Using this I was able to set it up to my specific LED bulbs so that the lowest possible brightness is exactly where I want it. No flickering, no issues at all. I recommend these.

Great dimmer
I recently bought a chandelier which was very expensive and it didn’t come with the lightbulbs so I had to buy those and then it states that since there was 24 lightbulbs, you probably should have a dimmer switch so now I had to buy the single pole dimmer switch. Well, I installed the chandelier with the lightbulbs and then I changed out the switch. It was very easy to switch out. It was compatible with my chandelier and the wiring was easy to put together and it’s working great.

Cheap but not great
It functions alright. It does not dim as much as I’d like. Install and wiring was a bit of a challenge. But overall it does function, just not at the level I would like. It is fairly cheap.

Price & Feature
Very nice LED dimmer at good price. I was happy that you could set the brightness and push to turn off and on like the old style before LEDs. I have a couple other LED dimmers and each time you turn on you must rotate the knob all the way up and click all the way down to turn off.

Perfect to dim my LED lights.
I installed this for a couple of LED lights in my kitchen. It was easy to install and seems to work fine. There is no flicker. It is a push-on push-off type of rotating dimmer.

Excellent switch!
I had to add a ground wire which as the box is grounded I didn’t really to do so but I wasn’t about to have a fire and be blamed for not doing a proper installation. Anyway, it’s push button on and off and the dial controls the dimming! Perfect! I do get a flick now and then but it could be the LED bulbs or the combination. Either way way it extremely rare and not nothing to worry about. I love be it!

Non-Standard Shaft Size!
These dimmers work great with LED bulbs and include an adjustment for the dim end of the dimmer range. They do *not*, however, have a standard size shaft to work with aftermarket rotary knobs that fit other brands like Leviton and Lutron. I have wooden knobs to match the wood faceplates that are in place, and will need to work out a modification to make them work.

Not actually a push button...
Not actually a push button... need to rotate to turn on/off instead of pushing.

Stripped terminal on received unit - returned it.
Terminal screw was stripped when it was received. Very cheap quality overall for a GE product.
