AHGXG Dotted Journal Notebook, 320 Pages, 120GSM, A5 (5.7'' × 8.3'')

These are GREAT for the price. My only minor quibble is that the combination of the cover elastic and the bubble mailer meant that my corners were a bit dented upon arrival. It wasn't bad and certainly not a dealbreaker at this price point, but they'd benefit from a sheet of cardboard put between the cover and the paper. Mine had free journal stencils tucked into the back pocket, which was a nice and thoughtful surprise. I am a minimalist bujo person. I mostly use my books for making two-page calendar spreads and a LOT of daily todo lists. I've tried a lot of notebooks - Moleskine (paper too thin), Leuchterm (thin paper, hard cover doesn't lie flat), Midori/TN (so narrow!), Nuuna (Amazing but $$$). I had been looking at Hobonichi for this year but I'm a student and trying to save money. These books really impressed me, especially for the cost. The soft covers on these feel sturdy enough and the pages are sewn in. The book lies flat when opened - you don't need to hold it down to write in it. There are two bookmark ribbons in matching colors and a sturdy pocket in the back cover. The paper seems good for my purposes. I usually use uniball, gelly roll, and brush pens. It feels smooth. The dot grid is 5mm. I actually prefer a slightly smaller grid but I think I'm in the minority there. Most places do 5mm so this is perfectly standard and a good size for most handwriting. You absolutely cannot beat the price. And I like that it's split in two volumes because this makes it lighter to carry and also gives me a fresh start in a few months when I fill the first one. A two-page calendar comes up with about nine lines per box - plenty of space to plan. And I have room on each page to make two good size columns for list keeping. All in all, these are amazing and I will probably buy more.

I use these notebooks daily for work and absolutely love them. The paper quality is excellent. It’s thick enough for rollerball pens, felt-tip pens, and highlighters without bleeding or showing through, which is one of the main reasons I keep coming back to these. The layout is very well thought out. The pages are numbered, dated at the top, and there’s a built-in table of contents at the front that you can fill out yourself. I don’t always use the index, but I really appreciate that it’s there as an option. The pages use subtle dotted ruling in a soft gray ink, which is easy on the eyes and not distracting. I use each open spread as a full workday, with different sections on the left and right pages, and the notebook lays flat even in the middle, which makes it comfortable to write in all day. The paper has a slightly off-white, eggshell tone that feels nice and reduces glare. The cover is sturdy and has a leather-like feel. It holds up well to constant use and includes thoughtful extras like a back pocket, two bookmarks, an elastic closure, and a pen loop. I don’t use all of those features every day, but they’re nice to have. I’ve purchased these multiple times in different colors, including black, blue, brown, and green. The colors are rich and well done, especially the bright blue and deep green. Once I found these notebooks, I stopped looking for others. They’re now my go-to for work, and I’m starting to use them for personal notes as well.

I am very picky when it comes to my pens and stationery, and am quite impressed with these notebooks. I was unsure about the texture of the covers from the photos, I thought they looked too rough, but when I got a chance to touch them I was pleasantly surprised. The covers actually have a very nice, soft, smooth feel to them, making for a pleasant tactile experience. I prefer the texture of these to Moleskin for sure. The dots in the dot grid are light enough to not distract the eye - I have seen other brands where they are so bold they take away from the content. The pages are nice and thick, they don’t bleed and ink dries quickly on them, though I do see a very faint shadow from writing on the other side of the page using black gel ink, it isn’t very visible and certainly not enough to ruin the new page. They do lay flat, so I don’t have issues with writing on both sides, and I greatly enjoy the page numbering and 3 table of contents pages (there’s 27 lines per page, making for a total of 81). There are 156 numbered dot grid pages total, so there’s enough room in the ToC for just about 1 entry every 2 pages, which works well for me. I like the double ribbon page marker and the pocket inside the back cover. A pleasant surprise is the two stencil plates that come in each notebook‘s back pocket, they’re pretty handy and long enough to be used for drawing horizontal lines completely across the page. Great product, will be buying again.

When I first received these notebooks I was pleasantly surprised. First, you're getting 2 notebooks, each with 160 dotted pages (80 sheets each) for less than $20. Second, the quality of the paper is very nice and smooth. I am a pencil person, but have my share of pens and markers. With most of the pens I tested, (Zebra Name Pen, Pigma Microns, Staedtler Chisel tip Pigment Liner, and various Uni and Zebra gel pens), I experienced zero feathering, absolutely no bleeding, and very little ghosting only with the densest of pens. The paper is thick and very smooth, and the dot grid is a nice light grey on semi-off-white cream paper. Not a yellowish cream, but a subtle off-white that is very nice. The quality of the book itself, is yet to be fully determined. But the overall feel is solid, the stitching is good and the book lies completely flat, which is nice for a soft cover. I previously learned that it's important to take a new notebook and open it in small sections to make sure the book "remembers" to open fully. The pages are numbered, which is something you don't see often, and there is of course a table of contents. There is an envelope in the back cover, which is actually made from cardboard but with silky fabric sides, which IMO seems to add stability. Inside the envelope there is a set of plastic stencils, (nice but not really a big deal to me). There are two page ribbons in different colors, and an elastic closure. One con so far (minor to me) would be the "feel" of the leather-like material. I can't describe it, it's very cushioned, but ripply at the left side. At the same time, I like that it has "grip", so it's not necessarily a con, but some elitists might not like it. These are not sketchbooks/ marker papers/ or specialty writing papers, these are all-purpose, notebooks for the average person using a variety of writing instruments. Bottom line. You're getting 2 really high quality notebooks (in terms of what they're designed for, function) for a little over $15. It really makes me cringe now when I see these brand names selling at ridiculous mark-ups due to social media and what not. I am not sure if this company makes a larger size, but would love to buy this in various sizes.

Exactly what I was looking for. Great size for portability. The grid is metric not inch but again for me not a problem. No ink pen bleed through and have proven to be quite durable and well made. I think they look good and the price point for two is good. Will buy again when I need two more.

Really like this. The paper seems to be good quality, size was as expected, good construction on the binding, and the value for money is good. Already started using one for an online algebra class. It'll take me a while to fill these up, but I'll definitely consider buying more when the need arises. Attached a photo. The mechanical pencil in the photo is a NicPro MP2000 with 2mm lead and a really good weighted grip. Gave that 5 stars as well as it satisfies my math nerd and artist sides.

I love these notebooks!! These are my new favorite notebooks. The paper weight is nice the cover material is lovely reminds me of a moleskin notebook. The dotted grid is perfect for bullet journaling or making your own planner. The price is so affordable as well

I use a5 note books for journalling and have s particular preference for dot grid notebooks. Unfortunately, as there's been an upward spiral in price of notebooks in general on Amazon,dot grid notebooks are generally our of my price range. So I was very please to find these at a very attractive price. They are beautifully made the quality of the paper is good.
