Mission RubberP400 Band-Seal Specialty Coupling, 4-Inch Plastic/Steel/Extra-Heavy-Cast-Iron to 4-Inch Plastic/Steel/Extra-Heavy-Cast-Iron

This is a Fernco Proflex coupling, which is exactly what I was looking for. I don't know if Fernco and Mission are the same but a lot of their product numbers are eerily similar. The UPC is 0 18578 01601 9 and on the label it says "Replaces P400". Attached is a photo of the coupling. I didn't give this a 5 star rating because Amazon puts a sticker with its internal tracking information over the yellow part of the Proflex label. It was a huge PITA to have to peel off each of their internal labels in order to expose the proflex label. This is essential to do because it is required by inspectors to have the label and be visible. I will be writing Amazon about this, they should put their internal label on an unlabeled part of the coupling.

I needed to cut into our main pvc drain line to remove mistakes by the previous homeowner and add a remodeled 1/2 bath back into the system. I've used a schedule 40 pvc repair coupling in the past, on an easily accessible (vertical) waste stack, on the ground floor. It worked fine, but it was NOT a pretty sight.This work was to happen in a cramped crawlspace with less than 3 feet of headroom. On an overnight. With two companions in the house, days before Thanksgiving. My backup plan was to give my two companions (AKA my partner and my daughter) an all expense paid overnight getaway to a hotel of their choice........However, once again, Mission products came through. The work was completed on the overnight, no leaks, no solvent fumes, everyone happy. Great product....
