Not for break barrel air guns, great for non recoiling pistols and rifles!
Revised 5-26-17This is a match made in heaven for a non recoiling gun such as my Beeman P17 pistol and my Crossman 1300 series pistols. Dead on accurate at 10 meters, hits a 5/8" square of electrical tape every time. I love it. The threads are a little course for adjusting the windage and elevation but if your gun can shoot this sight can put you on target every time.I bought 2 of these from my local farm supply store. I mounted one on a Hatsan 177 cal. springer air rifle. It does not matter how tight the mounting screws are, the unit "floats" on the windage and elevation adjusting screws, and wobbles a bit. Not a big deal, it should center itself like a plastic spring returning to its "relaxed" position. The choice of 2 brightness settings is great. At 10 meters the red dot covers the center of the target nicely and the first shot goes right there. The point of impact changes about 2 inches to the right for the second shot and another 2 inches for the third, and on and on until it cant move any more. It absolutely cannot handle the recoil of a break action air rifle. I am going to try to fix it, because it is just so perfect for that first shot, if I can just get things to stay put it would be a 5 star produce. It is cheap and feather weight and when it works it works great. I may have to epoxy something in place. The adjusting screws move with recoil. If you can stop them from moving this is great for plinking. A dab of silicone glue should work. The adjustments are very course so make sure you have things where you want them before fixing them in place. It is probably a 10 moa sighting device. The dot is large. Good for plinking, not for target shooting.

I cannot reccomend this for anything beyond 5' !
I needed a replacement for my circa 90s Crosman COPPERHEAD red dot sight, that after years, finally crapped out . It was mounted on my early 2000s Crosman 760 Pumpmaster.Since I had such long and tried and true service with the vintage Crosman Copperhead Red dot sight I tried first the current Crosman 0290RD Wide View Red Dot Sight sold on Amazon . Unfortunately for some reason that sight could not elevate enough to center in the wide view lens and to co-witness with the 760 front sight , so I returned it.Despite being forewarned by reading the reviews about the red dot reticle being quite large, too bright to be usable in low light etc, I decided to go ahead and give this Daisy Electronic Red Dot Point Sight a try.At first impression , I loved the small compact size and secure 11mm dovetail base. The second I flipped the on switch & I saw a large red amorphous blob in the view finder instead of a "red dot". The red blob on this sight will easily cover a medium sized orange 10 feet away.It only gets worse the farther away you get from your target. The red blob completely obscures a 7 " shoot n see target at 30 feet. I returned it immediately.I was really hoping for the best due to the small footprint this makes on the bb gun . If daisy could just get their QC act together they might have a neat little plinker sight here for a decent price.Oh well, guess I might give the Crosman 0290RD Wide View Red Dot Sight another try........sigh....

Not for regular picatinny rails
This is for air guns, not for any airsoft guns, they will not fit. This thing is pretty small and it's made out of a thin plastic, it's not that sturdy but the sight works well. For its quality the price is reasonable

Here are some tips for mounting and sighting
I have three of these and have them all mounted on Crosman guns (1377, 3576 pistols & 760 Pumpmaster) They work great for what they are. The dot is pretty big, but it is well defined and not "splochy" like some other cheap red dots, so they aren't going to give you tack driving results. However they are great for general plinking. I wanted to offer a couple of tips. (1) Be very carefull not to over tighten the dovetail mounting screw, you can easily strip the aluminum block that they thread into. (2) Prior to sighting in; you need to center the windage and elevation settings as much as possible. (3) When you start sighting in, you need to be about 10ft from the target, the point of impact can easily be off a several inches even up close. Be careful of ricochets, (I used a carboard box with layers of stryro foam to capture the pellets). After I got my zero at 10ft, I moved back to 25ft for a final zero. Thats the distance I like to shoot my handguns from. The further back you move from the target, the more area the dot will cover, and the less precisely you will group your shots. And finally, be very careful not to grab the sight while pumping the gun, at the very least you could throw off your zero and worse yet, you could break it.Good luck & good shooting!

Ok, has good points and bad points. Great price
Its OK, but slightly less than typical Daisy quality. The lens came delivered loose and askew which hid the red dot until I pushed the lens into place, but it needs to be cemented in. With the lens at the right angle it functions fine, good definition of the red dot, in either brightness setting. Seems like it was well thought out as far as how the dot appears over your target, stays small enough to be able to pick your spot on a target without blotting out the object. Where it disappoints is the adjustments, the windage seemed like it was giving a wide range, but the elevation setting was quite flimsy and apparently something plastic failed inside because there was no setting it, it could be moved up and down by finger pressure and will not hold at any setting, going off "zero" with just a shake or tap on the gun (or pumping it in this case). The price pretty much gives it away that it's not expert level quality, but it pretty much arrived broken from what I could tell. I'd return for an exchange but the shipping cost would likely be more than I paid for it. For the price it's worth a try, in the hope they are not ALL defective right out of the package.

Great for basic sighting!
This is by far the best affordable sight replacement for your iron sights. Easy to zero, holds it well and so far a good experience using it on any small caliber air rifle , pistol and even on a 22lr. If you're looking to hit the target on a budget, then this one's for you.
