How do these assemble from travel length to use as a Nordic walking pole?

Our Purple Haze Poles are able to telescope down to 32.5 inches. If you are looking for a set of poles that folds down to a smaller size, I would recommend our York Nordic Travel Poles. Our Travel Poles fold down to 15.5 inches and are a wonderful choice for someone who likes to travel. There are 2 different sizes of our Travel Poles, one for people above 5'4" and one for people below 5'4". Hope that helps :)

Is the Nordic grip made of cork?

Yes, the grip is cork grip and nicely curved to fit your hand comfortably and also slightly thicker than most nordic style grips which our customers say makes for a more comfortable hold. The glove straps have Velcro closures so you can adjust to your hand size and there is a red button on the top of the grip that quickly allows you to easily "click out" of the grip if you need to adjust your glasses, take a phone call etc. Let us know if you have other questions, we are always here to guide you. Mine are not anti-shock. I like the notion of anti-shock, however. Particularly for users with arthritis. That said, mine still work great after years and hundreds of miles of use.
