2nd system from Onwote, and working great!
I've purchased two of these NVR/PoE security systems from Onwote, and they have been a breeze to set-up and use.The first was in an office space with exposed & drop ceilings. The install was super simple, and you get everything you need right in the box (besides maybe a screw gun and a monitor for playback). The cables are sufficiently long to reach just about anywhere. The cameras were plug-and-play, looked great, and had decent audio. The GUI takes some time to understand, but everything that you'd want to do is right there at your fingertips. The second install was a bit more complicated, involving a house with a detatched garage. I needed to route some of the cameras through a network switch connected to a router, instead of directly to the NVR. Onwote support was super helpful on letting me know exactly how to connect it, and how to get the cameras recognized on the system. This time we opted for the 4K, and the image is AMAZING. I don't even have a 4K monitor to view it, but it is super detailed and crisp. Audio again is great. And this install had outside cameras, and I am amazed at just how much IR light these things put out, and really light up the image at night. The clarity and viewing distance is great. The Field of View angle is just right. I've hooked the NVR to the internet and downloaded the app, and have no issues seeing my cameras from anywhere I go. I can seamlessly playback video from a month ago, while not even being in the same state. It all just works. There is also a ton of settings that I have yet to dig into. Like setting schedules and motion detection for the cameras so they don't eat up the storage space, setting motion alarms and notifications that can be sent to your phone, fine tuning the image of each camera, etc.In short, these systems have been great. No complaints so far, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a simple but reliable solution!

Outstanding System & Customer Service!
The system was very plug and play. Worked great out of the box! Indoor monitor and recording very useful and picture quality outstanding. But the app is siccing on the cake. Wherever you are, whether home hearing a "bump in the night" or on the road, flip on your phone and you know what's going on! System has been very stable for over 16 months. Needed to be rebooted once... and with the lightning storms in Tampa, that's pretty amazing. But I close with the best part of Onwote... the Customer Service! AMAZING! Send them a question, perfect answer in under 24 hours! But... THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS! Had a camera problem, they sent possible solutions... when it was obvious the camera had failed, they replaced it... had it the next day! I feel like a genius for picking these folks! You should, too!

1 Year Review
Have been using 2 8-camera systems for nearly a year. The wiring took some time through the attic but it works great and never drops connection. Cell phone app works well. After having the system for a year, I would opt for the color night cameras as black and white are hard to describe people or vehicle colors even with clear resolution. Will just replace with color cameras as they age out. Customer service is great, had 2 cameras fail but they replaced them quickly. Would definately buy again and recommend to a friend.

Awesome with minimal frustrations.
First off, the price is a little steep. I’ve purchased systems with similar capabilities for a lot less. So if you just need something simple, I would suggest doing some research first. There’s also a couple of issues I have with paying so much for a system with some minor flaws, such as not being able to rotate the image with the software (I’ll come back to that). With that said, you do get what you pay for here (mostly). To respond to the reviews that said they couldn’t get certain aspects to work: I was able to fast forward while reviewing from the NVR. My app has quick and steady playback features (best of any security cameras I’ve owned so far). The digital zoom is intense (although, not customizable, so it’s all the way zoomed in or nothing). The installation was super easy with one minor hiccup. The camera domes (which rotate) all made it seem like the cameras were supposed to be installed a specific way. So once I had every camera installed and the wiring run to the NVR, it turned out that every single camera was upside down. So I’m not sure if someone rotated these the wrong way intentionally, or if they “all” come like that, but you’ll need to make sure your cameras are right side up before mounting. Now, this wouldn’t have been a big issue either, if I was able to rotate the view via the software like every camera I’ve purchased in the past 10+ years, but that option isn’t available and that really doesn’t make sense to me, it’s 2022, there’s really no excuse not to have that option. I tried to do it from the NVR with no success, tried it from the app with no success and went out of my way to download the PC software and still wasn’t able to do it (the pc software kept saying, “error saving” or something to that effect. Tried it 20 times and gave up). So this meant I had to go physically rotate every installed camera. Since I finished the install at night, I had to wait til the next day to do this since I have black widows and brown recluses everywhere. One spider started coming down towards my hand when I rotated the first camera and I said “nope” and had to go the night with upside down views. Long explanation, but it was very frustrating that in 2022, this software can’t or “won’t” rotate with the click of a mouse.I utilized four of the 60’ cables included, which I cut down to 30-15’ and there is no drop off in image quality or additional lag. I actually purchased CAT6 and CAT6A several months ago because of articles I’ve read about signal loss at so many feet for CAT5 cable and after reading some reviews about lag and image quality, I was worried this would be an issue but it hasn’t seemed to have had a noticeable impact for these cameras. The longer distance cameras are well over 60 feet away from the NVR and I used CAT5E (direct burial) cable that I had to spare. There is no noticeable difference in image quality there either. The push notifications are a life saver. I get notified for every motion. I did have an issue with getting motion notifications on areas that I didn’t have set, so that’s a drag. I want to say my phone battery might have taken a hit because of it. As of writing this review, it seems like the settings may have finally saved, because I haven’t been getting the notifications (on an area that covers the property and the street where cars constantly drive by). So I want to say that problem might have finally been fixed. The last two flaws, one of the cameras has a weird artifact on the nighttime vision which was there the previous night and isn’t on the exterior glass (i.e. dirt or debris) and that same camera also has a weird red tint when the color is activated, but all of the settings are correct. So all in all, if you have the money to spare, I would highly recommend this purchase. It’s a 16 channel NVR, that comes with a four terrabyte hard drive, free app with push notifications and additional ability to make changes to the settings and it comes with 8 cameras and all the network cable you need. The dome cameras are super cool and the image quality is outstanding! The playback (for me) is instantaneous and easy to navigate. One more thing I need to add. These cameras are “supposed” to be powered by the network cable… even though I saw the seller make a statement about needing to power them. So just a quick fyi, there was no power supplies provided, but I was replacing a third set of cameras and I already had power supplies available. So this may or may not have an effect on my image quality. Just wanted to throw that disclaimer out there.
