Retro with charm - The Zeppelin Hindenburg impresses with a beautiful moon phase display and a finely crafted silver sunburst dial. The chronograph look of day display, date and moon phase forms a fine stylistic contrast to the accentuated classic design - together with the elegantly rounded glass, this results in a classic vintage watch, which still looks fresh and modern. The final shot of noblesse gives this piece of jewellery the red sickle hand, which indicates the calendar week on the edge of the dial. This is made possible by a special Ronda quartz movement from Switzerland, which ticks in a polished stainless steel case. Thanks to its diameter of 40 mm, the Zeppelin Hindenburg moon phase also makes an excellent figure on women's or narrower men's wrists, also thanks to the handmade leather bracelet made in Germany. Model number: 7036-1 in silver or 7036-3 in blue, diameter: 40 mm, height: 10 mm, water resistant up to 3 ATM. Care instructions: To ensure that you enjoy the watch for a long time, it is recommended to remove the watches with the leather strap before showering or swimming. The strap can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a special leather cleaner.

Elegant--here's how I set the thing.
OK, this is an elegant watch. I was worried that the blue would be a bit overwhelming but it is actually rich and subdued. I've a well-worn pocket watch that I love and it has a lovely moon phase indicator, and I've wanted a wristwatch with that feature for some time. On a recent father's day, the kids (and wife) splurged and got this timepiece. I really adore it. Pros and cons:Pros: (a) Elegant, great looks. (b) True moon phase. (c) Day and date given. (d) Not too bulky, not too small. The watch impresses with its design and craftsmanship, not its bravado and oversized casing. (e) Not cheap, but a very sweet timepiece for the price point.Cons: (a) The raised crystal is great for looks, but I live a fairly active life, and it can get scratched. So far, the dings have buffed out and haven't left a trace, but my guess is this is not a daily-wear watch for a constant gardener, construction worker, or avid rock climber. (b) The watch is not bulky (a big plus to me), and that means the dials are fairly small. They are readable, even for a man who has achieved, let us say, a certain plateau of maturity. Still: a bit small. That brings us to (c) under the cons: lots of folks have complained about how complicated it is to set the watch. Fair notice: it is a beast to set *the first time* but after that, it is not so much more complicated than any other watch. Here is how I understood the instructions and set my watch; you, of course, should read the instructions that come with the watch and follow those as you understand them. These things change. But here is my interpretation of the instructions I received:When your watch arrives, set the time and just ignore everything else at first. Wait until your next full moon OR your next new moon, then follow these steps: 1. Wind the watch until you get to about 15 minutes after midnight. Now, start winding the watch *backwards* (that means turn the crown *clockwise* on my model) until the moon is at full (or new, whichever one you've chosen). This may take a few minutes depending on where your moon phase indicator was when you started, but you only have to do this once. When you are finally at Full Moon or New Moon (whichever matches the coming night), you are ready for the next step. 2. Now wind the watch forward (turn the crown *counterclockwise* on my watch) until it comes to 1 AM. Now, wind it backwards to 10 PM. Now wind it forward to 1 AM... every time you pass midnight, the "day" indicator moves ahead one day. Keep going from 10 PM to 1 AM until you have the correct day indicated. There is no other way to set the day. 3. Now--and this is crucial-- once the day is set, move the hands of the watch until they are at about 6:30 or 7 AM. You must do this to avoid damaging the interior mechanisms. Once your watch is past the 6:30 AM time, simply press the plunger under the crown, at the 4 position. Every time you press it, the "date" will advance one number. Just keep pressing the plunger until you have the correct date. Next: 4. Now, set the time. Make sure you get the AM/PM right. 5. Now, finally, take a small pointer or a toothpick and press the recessed button above the crown (at the 2 position). Push it all the way in and let it come all the way out. The hand that indicates the "week of the year" will advance one number. Do this until the number is correct. Last of all, Press the crown in and you are set. Literally. For the record, you should never (according to my instructions) correct the date or the week between the hours of 11PM and 5:30AM.So, yes, setting the thing is a bear for the first time, but it only takes about 10 or 15 minutes, and it is entirely worth it. The watch is attractive, subtle, and understated. It is one of the less expensive wristwatches I've seen with a true Moon Phase. The time is easy to read and face is well designed. I am delighted with it.

A good watch w/ added Week & Moonphase requireing safety steps I provided to set. I would buy again.
A quality, even though Quartz rather than automatic mechanical or hand wind mechanical watch. The manual it includes doesn't provide all that much information but only just enough for most things (until this month of December, 2020 where the moonphase notes in the manual end). An extremely important note: A video by Long Island Watch on YouTube will inform you how to correct set the moonphase as it is in strong likelihood incorrect upon receipt by you, but it misses 1 thing I will tell you now: When changing the moonphase you need to set the correct week number of the last full moon as well as the date and day. If you have the incorrect week number set then when you turn the crown forward to the date when you're doing so, the moonphase will show incorrectly! So set the week number as well as the Day and Date of the last full moon before turning the crown many times to set it to the day and date you're in when you attempt the change. A far more extreme note: This contains a Swiss made Quartz movement and such movements are often delicate if not set at the correct day and time. For example do not change the day or date between 9PM and 11AM or the gear teeth may or could be destroyed. In addition do not set the week number between 3PM Sunday to 9AM Tuesday or it's function may be irreversibly damaged. I write this to help you and save your watch, not to claim the watch is troublesome or difficult to work to set, it's not - It's just time and day specific when you do so!A note: Perhaps the Graf Zeppelin Hindenburg you receive will have a more refined crown installed. Mine is not. It is full of very sharp edges and spike shaped burrs, so for me to turn the crown means I have to bleed as a result of the crown cutting my fingertips with every turn. It's a German watch so odds are exceptionally high it is only my watch and perhaps no others, but I provide you the warning in case and advice if you feel anything unpleasant in the fingers you're turning the crown with to wear neoprene gloves, cloth finger covers or any of these and other protection you can buy here on Amazon instead of bare fingers when turning the crown. All in all it's a quality watch and worth the low price it requires for purchase.

Died after 3 years
I loved the look and functionality of my Zeppelin watch. Very disappointed that it died after only 3 years.

Very nice watch but read...
Very elegant looking, low profile and good fit. I haven’t had it long enough to comment on accuracy but expect it will be fine since it has a Ronda Swiss movement. It was advertised as having a mineral crystal but it’s actually hesalite which is an hard non-reflective acrylic that will scratch - could be a problem if you are hard on your watches. The leather band is calf skin but thinner than I expected. The blue face is blue as shown but the blue band color is enhanced in many photos - it’s really a midnight or navy blue, black looking until you put it next to a true black band. I actually prefer the darker look but if your prefer more color, it isn’t. A bit pricey in my opinion at north of $250.00 for the hesalite glass and band style but definitely an eye-catcher and I’m confident it will keep good time. I’m 4 happy out of 5.

Love them
Love the way they look. Also accurate. Don't have to rewind - bought this piece as a replacement for the mechanical watch bought last year: $3000 mistake.

Looks and feels great but seconds hand is off center
It's a nice watch except for the fact that the second hand doesn't tick in the center of the marks like many have mentioned. Also it's not for people with small wrists like myself. My wrist is 6 inches and I needed to punch another hole to get it to fit.
