Just No Flavor
For a drip coffee maker, I tried different grinds and I tried different amounts of coffee. I just couldn't get any taste from this coffee. I admit to being a cream and sugar user, but this type just doesn't compare to the offerings of the great giant competing brands made by the same methods.

Latest shipment from Amazon -old stale beans
No sooner as I find it, they stop the 32oz bag of Ethiopian beans. Only 12oz or 5lb :(Enjoyed the coffee.Update 29AUG20: Purchased 32oz Organic Ethiopian a number of times via Amazon and v.good...save for the last. Amazon posted the 32oz was unavailable for a time. Surprised when it became available again on Amazon, I thought Portland Coffee Roasters had started shipping in 32 oz bags again too. Not the case. This 32oz shipment is some bag of old beans Amazon has had lying around their warehouse. It's pretty bad. Lesson learned. Last time I buy coffee from Amazon. Buy from PCR direct.

Poor bean quality
This is for Portland House Blend. Roasted 30 days ago, according to package label. The beans are tiny for arabica, small and very dry. If the package wasn't labeled with arabica, I'd assume it was robusta. While these beans obviously appeal to some people from the positive reviews, it's not good quality coffee. It's also not a good value for the money, considering the overall poor quality of the beans. This is not just a roasting problem, this is a sourcing problem.I accept the possibility that I received a particularly bad batch, but with such a lack of quality control, I can't recommend this product.

Delicious
I moved to NY and miss PDX coffee more than anything else. Worth the price as long as its free shipping. Great for espresso and all other drinks. Mild but deep flavor without the burnt dark roast layers.

Great blend
I tried this at the Portland airport at the Portland coffee roasters stand and loved it! I purchased this on Amazon after moving out of state for a little piece of home... just as good as the baristas making it. Just purchased my second bag! It’s smooth, light and delicious

Beans arrived stale. No roast date on package. Espresso sucked. Don't order!!!
I have ordered St. John's Blend from Portland Coffee Roasters before and have been pleased. As soon as I opened the package, I knew something was wrong because they didn't have that wonderful coffee smell of fresh beans. I still tried to make espresso with it and had to adjust my grind very coarse because of how stale it was. It did not make good espresso. I have made great espresso in my machine with these beans in the past when they were fresh. Too bad.

A little pricey
I bought this coffee for my husband for Christmas. He stated he not a an expert on coffee and rated it a 3 star. I usually get his coffee from Costco so that this would be special for him.It smells wonderful perking in the coffee maker and looks rich in his coffee mug. I served this coffee for a party and people raved about it. So what can I say it’s all a matter of people’s taste buds.

Good name, good coffee
My wife bought a bag of this coffee as a present when she was in the Portland airport. Ground the beans and tried it. Was pleased with every aspect. In fact, so pleased that I've been buying it regularly. Can't comment on the ground version, but if you grind your beans this coffee will more than please.
