Bio Art: Altered Realities

It's a bit inconsistent with the fonts and lettering sizes, but the featured art are great. I would've liked a more in depth analysis of the works of art, but there are a lot of good examples.

This amazing book sums up many of the new directions and collaborations of artists and scientists. Its a whole new world out there !

An absolutely unique book, covering an important, emerging field of art. I'm a fan of William Myers, and have been for a long time. The book contains essays from some of the preeminent scholar and artists in the field. It will be an important artifact in the history of bioart.

A fascinating snapshot of the most creative minds working in bio-based art today. Myers's extensive research and eye for detail combine to deliver a chronicle of the intersection between art, biology and technology.

Handsome book with thought-provoking images and insightful writing. This is Mr. Myers' second book - I didn't think he'd be able to top the first (BioDesign), but he has!

It is an entertaining read, but it doesn't cover all of bioart. Would like to have seen some more works involving biological material. And some more controversial artists.

This is an excellent and engaging overview of the field of BioArt. It is very comprehensive, although some artists are inevitably omitted. It doesn't stint on the science- but you can get your head round as it is written in a very accessible way. A great read to get into this fascinating field.
