The Time Chamber: A Magical Story and Coloring Book (Time Adult Coloring Books)

This book is beautiful, as a beginner coloring fanatic the pages are almost too beautiful to color 😆😆😄 but I like a challenge so I'll take my time with every page, I don't regret my purchase at all...

The combination of fantastic art with a whimsical story is just irresistible. I'm working my way through this book very slowly, partly because I really want to make each picture beautiful, and partly because it just feels so precious to me that I don't want to take it all in a big gulp. Although I started with this one, I'm backing up and buying Time Garden too, now.There are pictures on both sides of the pages, but the paper is heavy and I've never had a problem with bleed-through. There are fine lines which I am much more comfortable doing with fineliner pens, but I think a really sharp colored pencil could do pretty much all of them. There are also larger shapes which invite colored pencils, or anything else which permits a lot of shading and blending. Since the pages are printed on both sides, if you use colored pencils or anything else that can smudge, you will want a fixative to stop them smudging the opposite page.I just love this book. I've done a lot of mandalas and abstract coloring, and liked them, and I've done some of the Enchanted Garden, which was fine, and some of Hanna Karlzon's books, which I think are truly excellent, but doing a bit of work on The Time Chamber every night before bed feels like each time I'm telling myself a tiny snippet of the best bedtime story ever.

I've bought three copies of this coloring book.Two were gifts, and one was for myself.I truly like the subject matter and I enjoy this artist's style.The pages are double printed, but to be honest, I never color in the books themselves so it's not an issue for me. I scan in the pages I want to do, then color them. Sometimes I print them onto watercolor paper and paint them. Sometimes I print them out on normal paper, stick a sheet of graphite transfer paper on the back, and copy small patterns that I paint and develop into a different piece.I think it's great, and that it's a lot of fun, but adult coloring books are totally subjective. If you're into clockwork things and space/stars, with a thin coating of travel and British influences, go for it. If you're not feeling the theme, then it's probably not for you. I highly recommend Daria Song's work, though, and she has a lot of coloring books for you to choose from if this isn't your thing.

This is a wonderful coloring book. I love it. I've been enjoying adult coloring books for a couple of months. I have three or four different ones. I recently completed the most famous one out there…the one about a garden…and while I enjoyed it, I also found it a bit tedious. It had pages and pages and pages of leaves. I wore a couple of my green pencils down to nubs. Then I saw The Time Chamber at my local craft store. I purchased from Amazon at such a good price compared to full retail at the store. What a joy this book has been. It tells a simple story and the drawings are superb. I look forward to my time after dinner when we're just watching TV and I can relax and color. I usually finish a page each evening. While I'm not very artistic I do enjoy this way of creating in a small way. I highly recommend this color book.

I absolutely love this author's vision. This book has such beautiful pictures! Also, the paper is thicker than typical, which is great because I love to use gel pens instead my colored pencils. However...the seam is not solid at all. I am not 'rough' with my coloring books, but after coloring the cover and the title page, I moved on the next page. I couldn't even compete the picture before the page detached from the seam. I'm not sure what I can do to prevent each page tearing out now. It isn't the worst thing ever, and I truly do love the actual pictures and story, so I can't bring myself to give it less than 4-stars. I do hope in the future perhaps the publisher will come up with a solution to this, because I really adore the art!

beautiful images, amazing things to color, if your an adult you will be astonished by everything that is inside of this book. it is a entire world of moments to color.. if this is for a child it will be magical. this book is beautiful and so charming.. I know I put a lot of times that this is my favorite book and its incredible, but this book and the other ones the author put out is a fairyland of adventure for a child, its pure magic, something I thought was lost to us.. I thought that we didn't have those great works like alice in wonderland. I know this is a coloring book and alice is a reading book but this coloring book lets you have and adventure lets you create the story.. with the story.. beautiful there is just so much to love with this coloring book as well as her other coloring books. pages are just as amazing as the last..

This book is absolutely gorgeous with stunning fantasmical illustrations that you are a little afraid to color because you don't want to ruin them but go ahead and color them because then they come to life in a new way.The only thing I dislike about Daria's books and Johanna's books are the gorgeous two page spreads. I've tried slowly pressing down I've tried a rolling pin.. all those help to open the book but there is still the issue of not really getting into the crease… not sure the answer but I hope someone figures it out. In spite of all that I still adore this book and will continue to buy from this artist.She hinted that she is working on a Christmas book on social media.. that would be fantastic and I'll be pre-ordering it as well. O livro et tão lindo que dá pena colorir ou receio de estragar com um colorido meia boca, gente que autora incrível, que delicadeza, um livro encantador, valeu a compra, a gramatura da folha permite até aquarelar um pouco, é branca, talvez usar algum marcador base água, enfim. J'ai été fors surprise à la réception de ce livre que je voulais pas au départ. Il m'a plu tout de suite et j'ai hâte de le faire car il est si agréable dans l'ensemble des scènes et le papier est très bon également, il a tout pour plaire. A vos crayons et pas d'hésitation à l'acheter.
