works within OEM limits but don't drop it on a hard floor
No pairing need as It is IR. Do need to point at the Express base unit. Not a problem for me and use distance for me is under12 ft.Gave 4 stars due to what feel is a somewhat flimsy battery compartment cover latch.I dropped it on a hard floor from about 2.5ft shortly after a day of having it and to no real surprise the battery cover came flying off.What was the surprise was the covers small thin latch tab was just about broken off. Hanging by a literal thin piece of plastic. I tried to super glue to fix and ended with a piece of guerilla tape. A more robust tab I feel would have been better.

Works Great!
The dog chewed up our remote and I could not find a compatible one in stores near me. This one works great. The kids are happy.

No volume buttons
Nice cheap replacement. Added batteries and worked right away. Just wish it had volume buttons. I do have hope that I will find the missing original roku remote eventually but for now this works.
