This was a two book compilation of ghost stories and paranormal encounters. This is basically an overview type of book. Many of the stories, I have heard of before with several that were new. I read this book using immersion reading while listening to the audio book. Narration is different for the two books. The first narrator is awful, skipping paragraphs and sections of dialog, the second is much better. A voice more suited to the material.

I am a true, true crime junkie, ghost stories and cold cases, all of it. So my eyes lit up when I saw this title. All crime fans out there should add this to their book shelf. The author put together a good collection of old timey stories filtered in with more current sightings and retellings. My heart is so sad for what some of these families lived through to try to get people to believe them, help them, or try to find some kind of piece. I also impressed that 90% of the stories were new too me and I read a lot of ghost stories. Great for people who want to read a chapter/story here and there and not stay up reading all night...plus you will be too scared to stay up late. night night.
