Glad to finally have it
I've been machining for a while, mostly hobby, somewhat professional, but never could convince myself to spend the money on this book. I finally did thinking it might be something I pull out like once a year, but that one time would be clutch. I've probably opened it at least once a week seeking random information it actually had and I'm very happy to have it. I'm not sure the guide was worth the extra money.

Large print is a must have
This book has a ton of info and is essentially printed on dictionary paper. The normal size print is way to small (I have decent eyes) so I recommend the large print

Packed with Information
My husband wanted a comprehensive reference guide for his work. He is really pleased with this purchase. Its as large as my unabridged dictionary but he sees that as a good thing :) I'm very pleased that it was packaged as if the seller expected the package to be damaged and took precautions to make sure the book came out unscathed. I was very worried when I saw the, not unsubstantial, packaging damage (someone with weight lifting abilities really tossed this thing around). I was very relieved that the book was not damaged.

Still the standard
It is the standard, it is the Bible of manufacturing. I had an older edition as a machinist. I misplaced it, I am extremely happy that I have the new one. I’ve used it as a reference in engineering. The knowledge in this book, the many years of evolution in this book is astounding.

This Book is An Impressive Compilation
Bought this for my son who is a mechanical engineering student. He said they should spend a whole year just teaching out of this book and we would have much better engineers.

Large Print is the Best Version
I'm getting into model steam engines and I've found this book to be the most useful engineering reference book I've found. So many formulas, and so much "inside information".I just wish I could instantly upload all that data into my brain, just like The Matrix movie. Ha!The Hardcover Large Print version is really the only one to buy, as it's much more a proper reference book than a pocket guide.Text size does matter for ease of use in a reference book, with book size and weight almost inconsequential. "There's nothing like a good tomb for reading, right?"Only down side is that packing of this weighty book leaves much to be desired by the supplier, leaving dented hardcover corners when delivered. That privilege should be afforded to the buyer in their concrete floored workshop.....Ha!Anthony.

Hard to read the small print
It's a very good book with a lot of useful information, but do yourself a favor and make sure you get the large print version!

You can comfortably read it even when you are 60+.
Came all intact but plastic wrap was broken. So, probable freebee was removed. :))))If the Guide is useful - to be determined yet.

Erg nuttig naslagwerk
Prachtig nuttig boek; veel tabellen zijn wel in inches en moet je dus omrekenen. Ook zijn de letters vrij klein. Maar een bijbel is het zeker, 3000 pagina's naslagwerk.

Very useful reference book
Bought for engineer as it was top of his 'want' list. Small size makes it easy to take in hand luggage when travelling.
