There's a point in life where you hit a certain age and this has become the MOST CAPTIVATING coffee table book. Friends, I've hit that point. But seriously - great drawings, learn about birds, and fun and interactive. (The recordings are good, too.)

I bought this book especially as a way to interact with my pet parrot. She loves hearing bird calls coming from the various shows on TV and I thought this book would be perfect to entertain her with.The song panel is easy to operate, has volume control, and even has an option of playing in "All" mode, so that you only have to press the button once (it's right before song #1, or at the end of song #200), and it will automatically play all the bird calls, one after another, for ten minutes or so on it's own. My bird sits on the book and just listens to the different bird calls with amazement. I'm noticing the more I play it, the more she enjoys it. It's as good as I thought it'd be for entertaining her! The only thing I could say that I wish were better about the book is that if it had more parrot species calls. It only has about two or three out of the two hundred.It's also a great learning tool for us humans too, to hear these different bird calls and read about the birds who make them.I can't wait to get another one of the books in this series to hear even more bird calls and enjoy them with my parrot!

This is a wonderful book, and a great favorite of our rather challenging grandson. It's a hard book to keep intact, and to replace, because it has sound-producing hardware embedded, which is not built to withstand flights across the room. New copies of this book are hard to find and very expensive.This particular used book was a risk, but it was described as in "very good" condition. It wasn't. The sound bar was essentially detached from the cover, and the sound quality was very poor. So we returned it.A delightful book if the bird songs are clearly audible, otherwise of little value.

My mother had the North America Bird Song Book and when my grandson visits her house he loves it. I saw this World Brid Song Book and purchased it for my mother as well as my grandson. They have a big time listening to the books and they bring them a great deal of enjoyment! I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. It arrived quickly and in the conduction stated. The audio quality is great, and the calls last for just the right amount of time. He loves flipping through the beautiful pictures, and sometimes he will just hit the play all button to enjoy the sounds. By far one of the best gifts I have ever given.

I purchased this book with the intention of giving it as a gift to a bird lover I know. However, I ended up keeping it because I was enjoying it too much. Don't worry, I plan to purchase another one and give it as a gift! I find this book fascinating. Knowing that I most likely will not travel to a lot of these places in the world where these birds live, it is pretty cool to be able to see what they look like and to hear their songs. There are only two problems with this book: 1) My dog absolutely hates this book. He either tries to bite the book or runs around the house barking and/or whimpering when he hears the birds. I've noticed he reacts differently to each bird call; what I like to call the 'Jekyll and Hyde effect'. 2) the glue came unglued that hold the sound player in place so I need to apply glue again. Overall though I am glad I own this book. It's a great conversation piece too when guests come over

This was a birthday gift that was perfect for my 7 year-old granddaughter. The only problem was the original secondary seller backed out due to a family emergency (??). The second seller sent the book by media mail, so although the order was made 2 weeks before the birthday, it got there 2 weeks late. She loves the interactive aspect of seeing and reading about the birds and hearing the bird calls.

The pictures and information are great but the sound quality and design is poor. You have to scroll through each number to get to where you want, I wish you could just type the number in that you want to. The bird noises are kind of quiet and there’s no volume control.

I bought this book for a friend. I listen to few birds songs and was OK but I am not interested in staff like that.

Mit dem Umtauschen hat alles bestens geklappt. Etwas blöde war, dass der Umtausch mehrfach erfolgen musste, weil die Technik nicht funktionnierte.

My colleague ordered one of these second hand and it came looking great and with the bird song player working so you could choose which song you wanted to hear and it would play. Mine came, however, and the speaker had been taken off so you couldn’t play any of the bird songs, defeating the whole point of the book. Was very disappointing as I sent it straight to my niece for Christmas.
