The Very Hungry Caterpillar™ Butterfly Growing Kit with 3-5 Caterpillars

I bought this set for my niece (after checking with my brother) when she was about 2 years and 9 months, since she is fascinated with insects. She also knew 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' pretty much off-by-heart. My brother sent me regular videos of her checking on her caterpillars and getting her to explain what was going to happen next. After a few weeks she was able to release her butterflies. I think only one failed to survive the whole process. It was fun and educational for both her, and all the adults in the family. I'm very glad I bought it!

Got this as a present for my 10 year old sister.. She loves animals. It was a huge surprise to already see the Catipillars hatching. She fell in love with them on day 1. Simple steps. She was able to look after them till they were fully grown and we carefully set them free in the garden. Totally recommend.

This is absolutely fascinating to watch the process Its very educational for children too and they love it Now I sent for 2 kits and they came a week apart I was really fearful the the second one had got lost in the post and that the caterpillars would have died, but they must have been dispatched at different times because the second kit arrived and everything was fine

Brilliant kit comes with everything you require to look after both the caterpillars and butterflies. Easy to follow instructions and simple set up. We added some fresh fruit each day to the habitat after the butterflies had emerged and we released them after a couple of days. My son loved looking after them and watched them everyday. All 5 caterpillars turned into butterflies and they all flew off happy into the wild. I personally found it fascinating to watch how they grow and transform.

When the product arrived all 5 caterpillars had hatched. Both our daughters enjoyed watching them grow, they turned into cocoons within 10-14days and then hatched within 7days. Our eldest daughter loved to watch the butterflies feeding and flying around their net, and she was so pleased when she let them free into our garden.My only negative is that the box states you get a code for more caterpillars but we didn’t seem to have one in or on the box.Overall a great purchase and will definitely be purchasing again next summer

We received our kit with 5 baby caterpillars today, all but one is dormant at the moment - the other one has been munching away at the food on the bottom of the cup!Instructions are clear and seem simple enough to follow, very excited 4 & 32 year old girls here! Our butterflies are all going to be called Vanessa apparently!

Young nephews thoroughly enjoyed looking after the caterpillars, watching them change and then seeing them fly away as beautiful butterflies.

We had them during lockdown....Wow this was a fun activity and Learning Experience for the kids. We had them for 25 days roughly.can I just say what a lovely experience it was. Both my 6 year and 3 year old loved the butterflies. My daughter played with two before they flew away.. They were absolutely beautiful. I would recommend these to everyone. 😘
