Amazing!!
I gotta say I was a little torn on whether or not to make this purchase because the reviews were so mixed, but I am so glad I did!!!! I absolutely LOVE this! It was so easy to use, affordable, and such a time saver. My daughter wanted cake pops for her birthday, and honestly I don't care for them made the "original" way, so I purchased this. I saw the reviews where people said you couldn't use box mix, that it didn't turn out right, or was not done in the middle, and it had me worried. Fortunately everything went great! I did use box cake mix, and I can honestly say there were NO issues at all. I mixed up the cake batter, and I put it in a piping bag because it made it so much easier to fill each spot quickly so that they got done evenly. It took literally just 2-3 min and they were done! I couldn't believe it, they turned out perfect. If you fill each spot just below the top they do not over flow and they are perfectly round. Also just spray a little cooking spray top and bottom every couple of batches, and youre good to go. The only prob. I ran into which wasn't really a prob. And more likely my own fault anyway was the stick did not want to stay in when I was trying to dip them in the choc., but that didn't slow me down I just spooned the choc. Onto each one and popped them in the freezer to set. We also done some with frosting, if you melt it slightly you can pour it over, worked great! Overall we were 100% satisfied with this purchase, and I definately highly recommend this purchase. I will say that I do wish it had a power switch on it, because the second you plug it in it is on, and remains that way until you unplug it. We had so much fun using this, it's such a cute color, and arrived quickly.

Perfect cake pops!
First off, this mini cake pop maker is a life saver! I used to make cake pops the traditional way with crumbled cake and frosting, then followed by rolling them into balls but that whole process took far too much time so I decided to invest in this machine. With this machine I don't have to worry about the consistency of the cake pop and the frosting (when it's too moist the cake pop will break through the lollipop stick or it can sometimes break when you coat your chocolate due to the weight- very frustrating!).The first time I used this machine, I used brownie mix and it turned out to be a disaster. The brownies would stick on the non sticking plate even though I rubbed/sprayed cooking spray on it every single time. The second time I used the cake mix box sold in stores and they came out to be perfect! Greasing the plates were not required because they popped right out and in perfect shape! When I poured too much cake batter into the maker, it'd overflow and leave extra cake scraps but it's easy to remove. Some of the balls had "Saturn" rings around it and I kept it that way without trimming the edges because it wasn't too visible and it kind of gave the cake pop a natural lollipop look to it. In the end I coated my cake balls with Wilton Candy Melts which can be purchased in Walmart, Michaels, or Joanns.Pros:Easy to useEasy to cleanMakes the cake pops extremely fast! (3-5 minutes for a batch)Cons:Machine gets extremely hot so make sure to touch the handle for open and close accessOverall my experience with this machine was good. I wasn't too happy with this machine at first because my pops failed (with the brownie mix).. but practice makes perfect right? They came out perfect the second time (as shown in my pictures when I used cake mix) so don't be discourage if you fail the first few times because you need to get the hang of it first. It is recommended that you do test the machine to make sure it works properly and test your cake balls before you decide to make cake pops for any occasions.

This is a fun product. Makes perfect cake-pops
Easy and fun to use. Think waffle iron but with cake-pop design. Makes 9 at a time. Perfect and fun size for kids. TIPS: 1) Use the recipes from the included booklet. (I've read other reviews who tried commercial cake mixes and didn't have the best results.) Batter can be colored with food dye and flavored with favorite extract. Don't want to make too many pops at once? Uncooked batter can be stored in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Other option, bake all pops, cool and freeze some in ziplock bag for later. 2) For easy pouring/portioning, after mixing batter completely, spoon batter into a gallon size ziplock bag and cut tip off one corner at the bottom. Pipe into each circle well. For left over batter, use bread tie to close up open tip and store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. 3) After baking cake-pop, put on wax paper lined pan and cool balls quickly in refrig or freezer. 4) Melt wafers/choc chips in coffee mug in microwave at 20 second intervals until melted. Stir until smooth. AVOID OVER HEATING!! 5) Dip the end of your 6-8 " long stick (about 1/2-1") in melted wafers/chips and insert half way into cooled pop to set the stick. Refrigerate or freeze on wax paper to set stick BEFORE dipping the entire ball. 6) for BEST flavor results, use Ghirardelli choc or vanilla wafers. 7) When done dipping entire ball, to avoid flat tops, turn colander upside down and use holes for pop-sticks to set upright 8) If decorating with SPRINKLES, use small sprinkles b/c heavy or large ones may slide down or off and make a mess. Highly recommend. Great for parties.
