Deluxe edition. Pentatonix is the eponymous fourth studio album by American a cappella group Pentatonix, to be released on October 16, 2015. The release date was announced on Twitter by a series of pictures featuring the five band members released over a five day-span, with one band member added to the picture each day, culminating in the date being revealed on August 28 2015. It is the band's seventh release. Pentatonix (or PTX) is an American a cappella group consisting of five vocalists originating from Arlington, Texas. The members in this group are Avi Kaplan, Scott Hoying, Kirstie Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Mitch Grassi. Their work, which is mostly in the pop style, consists of covers of existing songs, sometimes in the form of medleys, along with original material. Their music is defined by their own arrangement style, tight vocal harmonies, extensive vocal riffing, deep and steady vocal basslines, and a diverse range of vocal percussion and beatboxing. Review: when I started listening to this I didn't like this much I was like NaNaNa I want a ... - Okay I'm gonna get around to rating this but first things first, when I started listening to this I didn't like this much I was like NaNaNa I want a refund but then I put in my beats headphones and listen to it on my friends rose gold Iphone and my ears drunk this up like water. We were driving around with can't sleep love, ref and new years day blasting so loud I thought that the windows in her car were going to crack so I said take me home but know one was there so I called my mom and asked her "Where are you now". but I knew she was probably out somewhere misbehaving so I found something to lean on while I stared at the light in the hallway in the house across the street. No I'm kidding but this is a album you have to listen to on good speakers or on headphones because it is hard to hear Avi singing because his voice is so low. But these songs really grew on me. In my opinion New Years Day, Take Me Home and Misbehaving are the best on the album. I think that they may have enhanced Kevin's part because He sounds like a drum but i really don't care because I would have brought the album even if it wasn't A Capella. I would say it's definitely worth buying the whole album. The only songs that I did not like was Cracked and Sing. I think it's better than their previous albums. Review: Love PTX - I had the CD early on, but had lost when I had moved and thought to just reorder. Came just as advertized, no scratches, perfect condition. Love their music

Pentatonix - making history one album at a time
5 stars. This album reflects everything about the group as a whole and delivers with each of their talents displayed on a pedestal. It's pretty epic. The group is entertainingly eclectic and stylistic. With the harmonies from the 3 singers (Scott Hoying, Kirstie Maldonado, and Mitch Grassi) blending perfectly and providing completely unique tones, the group is able to create amazing sounds and replicate not only main vocals but backing vocals and instruments. Pair that with the professional digital sound of Avi Kaplan's full sounding bass notes and overtones, and Kevin Olusula's mind melting beat boxing skills, and you've got yourself a grammy winning, #1 album selling, pop mega-group. This album displays a nice mix of those talents and is one of the most unique albums in a decade. The deluxe album, filled with 17 songs, starts, maintains, and ends on an even higher note.

The Pentatonix continue to not only amaze, but deliver...
What a truly refreshing album resting somewhere between taking a well needed vacation and eating a long sought after dessert! Well thought out and beautifully arranged, the Pentatonix's original album is a delight to listen to and to sing along with in the shower or shamelessly at work. The album is diverse in selection, stays true to their style, and also creates something unique, which most of us are seeking from music these days. There are some covers on the album, honoring the craft which brought them to the stage for all of us to see, but each is beautifully re-imagined and in no way takes away from or overshadows every original song. Overall this album is a triumph to the talent and creativity of the Pentatonix and shows they are more than ready to carry their own songs forward. Brillant.

Great music, but why is pre-order so much more expensive?!
I love Pentatonix and their music, so I give this album 5-stars, but I am pretty perplexed by what's happened. I am not entirely sure if I messed something up, but upon checking my receipt/previous orders, I don't think that I have... I pre-ordered this album for a digital download at $12.99. Except today, upon checking the album again, I notice that it's posted at $7.99 (almost a 40% decrease for the same MP3 download format!) Am I the only one that experienced this? If not, as the album hasn't even been out for more than a week, how/why is it that people who pre-ordered your product are being forced to pay extra? As a loyal fan and customer who supports your work, this is pretty off-putting. I understand prices adjust and change with demand and such, but this is a huge difference. Why would I ever pre-order anything in the future if I know this might happen? Regardless, Pentatonix always produces and releases quality content so I am glad to have made this purchase. Just wanted to put this concern out there, however.

Really realllllly wanted to love it, but, can't love it.
There are some good songs on here...but I have to admit, I don't love it as much as their other albums. Not that I only love the covers, I also liked their other original songs (prior to this album) so it isn't that. This album seems to be a bit more "processed", there are songs that sound like there is some looping and some added effects. This is also the first album that seems to focus more on Scott, less of a mix with Kirsty and Mitch on lead and less mix in with Avi and Kevin. Avi did get a solo, but the song, meh. The songs weren't as pop/dance as the others, more generic. The other albums I just had to listen to once and fell in love with the entire song list, this one, not so much, thus far just love three songs, like maybe 4 more and the rest are just meh and I've listened to it a bunch of times. I kinda feel that their switch in labels has made them have to switch their music style and not really for the better. They are going to turn into another generic band, that just puts out what the label wants the way the label wants it, not the way the band wants it and not the way they are known for being. Love the songs "Sing", "Can't Sleep Love" and "Cheerleader"

Was soll ich sagen??!! Einfach PERFEKT!!! Die CD läuft rauf und runter. Das Highlight der CD ist m.E. "Rose Gold". Weiter so :-)

Incredible album, even better singers
I first heard pentatonix on a video on facebook which was the evolution of music, and upon further research I have found there other albums, from finding and ordering this, I can easily say it s the best album I've heard, every song has meaning and the lyrics make sense without constant swearing as you sometimes get with musicians these days. It amazes me what they can do with their voices, the fact this album has no musical instruments in it is phenomenal and just shows how amazing and creative these guys are. I cannot explain how much everyone should hear listen to this album, you won't regret it and for this price its an absolute bargain!

Totally mind-blown singing group
I have two other Pentatonix CD's. They're all so good, it's difficult to decide which one to listen to. Can't believe the instruments, for the majority of the pieces are their vocal cords! Talk about improvising! If you've ever sung in an accapella group, you'll understand and be totally blown away by the sounds, variety and range of these five young people.
