Herb's Pickled Hot Sausage 16oz

These hot sausages were so good that I ate 4 before the afternoon came lol. I'll most definitely buy these again.

Perfect please don’t ever change recipe or anything.

I have read reviews online that these were close to the old Penrose Pickled Sausage. I was so excited and bought a jar. They are no where near Penrose. They were absolutely nasty. Arrived at my home without a seal on the jar, wrapped in plastic. Juice was all over the plastic jar. They looked so nasty in the fats they were floating in. I still gave them a try. The sausage tasted like nothing I have ever had in my mouth. Greasy, not enough vinegar, and just terrible. Almost a rotten taste. Damn near made me throw up. I poured this crap out in the field and basically threw 14 bucks away. I would no way buy these! Worst tasting things ever! I don’t know why Amazon would even sell this product, as it could make people sick being unsealed. Sad.

I love these things. They remind me of the Penrose brand red hot pickled sausages in the jar that my mom used to buy at the Winn Dixie for after-school snacks when I was a kid. They were great with saltine crackers. Can't find those Penrose in the jar anymore, but these are a good substitute.

They are ok but not worth the price especially for that lil jar . Not what i was expecting as taste , A lil too vinegary but ill finish jar instead of tossing out but wont order again.

These remind me of the Penrose sausages I used to eat with my Grandpa! These are quite spicy (hot).
