UPGRADED Lifetime Appliance Parts WB15X24435 Microwave Oven Door Handle Compatible with General Electric (GE) Microwave

While it looks like the handle for my somewhat new microwave, The mounting screws are about 10 3/4 inches apart on this handle. I would have been helpful to getthat information in the information listed for this handle.

Fix a microwave handle for customer

I accidentally broke the handle on my 12-year old over-the-range GE microwave and needed a new handle. This fit the bill. I had to research the part number by searching the GE microwave number (listed inside microwave). The OEM part number is discontinued but this one is a fit. It's kind of pricey but if you're not looking to replace the whole unit, this is the solution. Shipping was fast. I just reused the screws from the original handle.UPDATE:Less than a month after we replaced the handle with this part, the handle BROKE again. There is a 90-day warranty on it so Amazon was able to send me another part. I installed it yesterday and guess what, it BROKE again. I really suspect that the original screws from the microwave are too big for this handle causing stress fractures in the plastic. I'm ordering it once again in hopes of not having this issue but I may consider ordering another microwave if the handle can't be replaced. This is ridiculous.

This handle fits the mounting holes perfectly but be sure to keep the screws from your existing handle. This replacement handle may not look exactly like the one you're replacing but it did the trick for me. The hole spacing was the same but the handle profile sticks out. The old handle had a different design and arced flush with the surface. All in all, this is a smart buy if your original handle broke.You'll find a variety of videos on the web that describe how to remove and install the replacement.
