Very pleased with this so far. It’s sturdy and seems good quality. It allows the chair to roll freely and the studs on the underside mean it doesn’t move around. Yes, it’s pricey compared to others, but after reading reviews of the cheaper ones, I think this was the right choice. I went for a larger one, as my chair base is large and and tends to roll off smaller mats too easily, and again, this was a good choice for me. (See pic) Comes rolled with a safety strap which you need to release very carefully as there’s a lot of energy in the roll and if it springs out uncontrollably, it could hurt you (see other review where someone unfortunately gashed their hand). Would recommend if you’re now a home worker like me.

I purchased this to protect my brand-new carpet, I put it fully into the alcove (I measured it to make sure it would fit, hence why I purchased it), placed the desk on it so that when I wheeled my chair under the desk it was still on the hard flooring bit, therefore not roughing up the new carpet.After about a week I noticed that it was no longer against the wall & it had come out from under the back 2 legs of the desk, but I just assumed I must've not put it all the way to the wall. Having noticed the initial slipping I became acutely aware of the mat & started to observe it. After about a month it had slipped completely out from under all 4 legs of the desk, the filing cabinet & was snagging the back bedroom (office) door.I moved the desk & filing cabinet to reposition the mat, but again after a week or so the mat started to walk out from the alcove, so once it got to a point where it was halfway out from under the desk & filing cabinet I started to trip over it & quite badly cut my foot on the edge of it, therefore bleeding on my new carpet, so I thought to heck with this, it's a hazard & I pulled it out & it is now against my bedroom wall, where I have noticed about 5 cracks in it.It's absolutely useless, it cost me quite a lot of money & I am not at all happy, plus I now have a blood stain on my new carpet & a scar on my right foot ... I have since moved my desk downstairs where it's on laminate flooring & my nice new carpet is being spared the 8 wheels of my chair scuffing back & forth throughout the day.I do not recommend this item, it is dangerous if I'm being completely honest - I do intend on contacting the seller, but I have not yet got around to it, but I will be asking for a full refund!

I bought this specifically because of the specification and reviews that boasted it was flat-packed and not rolled as the competitors were. It arrived rolled with instructions for unrolling as it was under pressure. When I cut the ties, it did "boing" out pretty flat, but it wasn't the flat-pack advertised. So it's flexible, not rigid as I expected and time will rell how well it performs. Dropped 2 stars for false advertising.

This is our third office mat, the previous two were not durable and cracked easily. This one has thick plastic and rounded corners. Grips well. Yes, it was expensive, but we hope it will outlast the previous ones. Careful when you cut the retaining bands to open up the roll. We made sure the roll was at room temperature first, as per instructions, but cutting the last band the roll sprung open and could cause injury!
