Summary:This is a fantastic little camera with outstanding zoom and a feature-rich web interface. I just wish it would have lasted longer than 2 years. Overall, I would give this camera a rating of 3.5 stars.Picture quality: (5 stars) For a 2MP camera, the picture quality is great. Colors are well defined, edges are clear, and the camera processor is plenty powerful enough to process 2MP images at 30 frames per second. The web interface also has great customization options for adjusting brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness, gamma, rotation, white balance, exposure, backlight correction (including wide dynamic range), and more.Night Vision: (4 stars) When used at an appropriate range, the IR lights work well to provide a high quality greyscale night image. The low light sensitivity can be adjusted in the web interface which tells the camera how dark it needs to be before switching from day-time mode to night-mode and enabling the IR lights and greyscale filter. With a high low light sensitivity, the camera will not switch to night-mode until it is too dark for the sensor to get good data. This threshold is fairly high and the camera does a good of providing a (albeit unsaturated and slightly grainy) color picture in low light. There are better options on the market. I've found that the shutter speed is a bit too slow for my liking which causes moving objects to appear blurry, so I have the sensitivity turned lower to active the IR filter earlier.Features: (4 stars) The web interface is fantastic and the zoom feature of the camera is outstanding. Camera does lack an audio in and audio out feature though.Ease of set-up: (3 stars) Fairly standard for this type of camera.Reliability: (2 stars) After about 2 years of use, I started seeing frequent failures with this camera. The camera would show a loss of signal on my PC running my security software and the web interface would become inaccessible. No other cameras on the network were having the same issue. The camera would also not write to the local SD card during these periods. Removing power from the camera and restarting it would sometimes fix the issue but not always. I tried a hard reset which helped for a few days but then I started seeing the same issues. At this point (about 26 months in), the camera is just too unreliable for security work and too much of a nuisance to maintain.

The camera itself seems fine after a day or so of use. Quality of the mount is good, and setup, quality, etc all seem reasonable. I have a feeling they're making a killing on the margins for these things but could be wrong.What's really annoying is that one of the cameras showed up without the installation hardware, and I suspect it was resold, probably an open-box (but sold as new). So, watch out for that. It seems to work OK so haven't initiated a return, but had to supply my own mounting hardware.

Just installed this camera yesterday. My first one and I am a complete noob. Too awhile to learn how to configure and connect to Blue Iris. Great help from ipcamtalk forum. Picture quality is great, resolution out to 75' is also really good. So far superior to the Arlo my tenant installed. I will be buying 4 more from Andy.

This is a great little camera for the money. It performs well in low light and gives you lots of options with the varifocal lens. I mounted one on an 8 ft. 2x4 in a bucket to test out locations around my house. The varifocal lens allows you to play around with focal lengths so you can determine which length to get for your other fixed focal length cameras. Very nicely constructed and works well with Blue Iris.

Great camera! Highly recommend for Night Vision. Easy to setup with POE
