The best thing about this is the quality of the paracord. No instructions come with it, so I have no idea how to use the "firestarter" which should be easy for me since I've used them before. The compass is a joke. It is VERY small, but I can see it with my glasses. What I saw is that it doesn't work. I turned around in a circle and the compass just bobbled a bit, but never changed direction. There is a whistle that gives out a small wimpy little sound.I would return this, but it's not worth the hassle.

This bracelet has met all my expectations. If you are reading this review you most likely have read the poor reviews for this and let me tell you do not be fooled by the poor reviews. This product is great and not hard to figure out of use. Remember before you order that this is a one size fit all product so there is a good chance it will not fit. Most of the reviews that are poor are from people who do not understand what they otfered. The compass works perfectly, it is on a single axis so when you tilt it, it may get stuck so remember to keep level when you are using it. The "sparkles" in the paracord is so you can find it easier if you happen to drop it in the woods. I'll I can say is do not judge this product by the poor reviews.

Handy little survival bracelet. Though stylish black with silver shiny speckles, it is very large for my wrist. This would fit a males wrist much better. Wish these could be ordered according to your wrist size. Thickness of the rope itself is fairly thin but would work in a pinch. I find the compass to be basically like a cheap toy and doesn't want to stay in the rubber frame it sits in.
