Just what I needed.
This filter media has been perfect to get the fine particles out of the water in my koi pond. I've been using it since July and clean it weekly. It has held up great to being hosed off with a strong sprayer. You can see in the picture all the gunk it collected and how clean it comes after being sprayed off. Whenever it eventually wears out I'll be back buying more. And this is now my go-to when I need more filter floss for my aquariums too. Great product and works just how you'd expect it to.

Crystal clear pond again!
Huge roll for the price, I have a 5'x6' koi pond about 3' deep with 2 pumps that go into 2 water falls on each side and my pond after a year was extremely green and full of muck, I cut the filter to the size of my pump and wrapped them around each pump and used heavy duty thick rubber bands to make sure they stayed put and my pumps are running so much better now. The muck and green slime are almost gone after 4 days and I can finally see my koi! I plan on washing out the filters in another week and putting them back on to get the pond looking brand new again. I ordered the blue and it's a very good thick breathable filter.

This saves a ton of manual labor
I have a fish pond with a small waterfall. There is a filter in the water tub connected to the pump where the water flows from onto the rocks. There is filter medium in there but the larger kind. If I dont put a layer of this stuff in with it, my pond gets muddy. This stuff catches the mud and gunk and keeps my pond crystal clear!

It's okay
Received today and thought it looked a bit thin. Haven't used it yet, but definitely isn't 1.25" thick. It's about an inch thick (being generous and rounding up). Was expecting this product to be thicker so I may need to purchase another roll of the coarser filter media. Will test it and update review.UPDATE: Have been using for about a month now. Material has flattened out even more. It catches the small stuff so I guess it's okay, but I don't plan to purchase it again. It has been pretty easy to rinse out and is definitely reusable. My main disappointment is that it didn't hold its thickness, and that it was way thinner than the seller advertised.

Clear waters
I cut this media to fit a 12 X 12 filter that runs off a Tetra pump. I change it according to conditions and have been extremely happy. I've included a few pics to show you what it picks up, the filter, and Goldie, who spends winters in the house, in a 100 gal. tank and summers outside, in her 400 gallon 8 X 4 pond. I use the same filer and material The fish pictured was an inch long 25 years ago. Both Goldie and the Water are looking good.

The price is very good especially for my needs
Very impressed! The price is very good especially for my needs, it will last me quite a while before I need more. I cut the filter media to the size I needed to wrap around me pond filter. The pond was in rough condition & it helped remove the floating muck in the water, I spray the filter off every morning, it’s been almost a week & it’s till in good condition. I used elastics to secure it the first few days until I could some large zip ties, both work fine the zip ties hold it in place better. As you can see in the photos, it definitely helped clear the water up in just 12 hours, it’s pretty gross but came clean like new with the jet sprayer on our hose.

Catches the little gunk, cleans the water on 3400 gallon koi pond.
Works great, easy to clean and boy does it trap the fine stuff. We use it for our outdoor koi pond. Once around the pump basket to keep pump running and not gunking up and at the hose end to filter a second time before water is run back in to pond. Highly recommended.

It Keeps My Pond Crystal Clear
A few people have asked how to get rid of green-water algae from their koi pond. The filter pad media helps do it. Here's how: cut (with an ordinary scissor) a couple of squares of filter pad media off the roll. They should be the length and width of the interior of the skimmer/pump box. Place the squares in the skimmer/pump box in front of the pump, that's on the pond side of the pump that circulates water in the pond. Let the pump push water around the pond and through the pads. Clean the filter pads once a day using a garden hose: pull the pads out of the box, squirt the algae and other debris off the pads until they're clean, then replace them in the skimmer/pump box. Do this once a day. Add Beneficial Bacteria powder to the pond a few times a week. There's no magic, nothing else required, just diligence. The fish will love it.
