Works Great on Holiday Blowups
I used this to repair a holiday blowup. I stored had stored it in its bag in my garden shed and some critter chewed into it. The patch kit was easy to use. I was able to apply the both the inner and outer sides of the nylon fabric. It stuck quickly. I let it set for the specified time. Set the decoration outside and plugged it in. It blew up and the patch held through the entire season. I looked at it when put it away and it looked good - no lift at the edges.

GREAT PRODUCT
This tear aid is great in that it will keep your damaged item from further ripping. It will repair your vinyl but don't expect it to blend in with the existing color. It is a thick type of pliable tape that is very strong but you first have to be careful applying it so no air bubbles get in. Also you have to be careful not to get your fingerprint on the sticky side because that will turn the tape an opague color. You can stretch the tape for full coverage, which may also help with the transparency of the tape once it's on. For the most part it repaired my vinyl ottoman tear but you can still see where the tape was applied. It is not a seamless repair. IF you want perfect like-new look, you have to get something else. Otherwise the price was good and you get a lot of product for future repairs. Good for tents and air-mattresses.

Works, but ...important...read my review
All in all a good product. I would buy it again. That being said.... It's a bit pricey for the quantity included. It's tape...not precious metal. I used it to repair a couple of tears in the attachment points of my polypropylene portable garage. I cleaned the area well with the alcohol pads supplied. At this point adhesion was not good. It was about 70 degrees F outside. I used a pinpoint lighter to gently heat up the material from behind without burning it and then a bit over the tape and it was like it was welded on! I cannot stress enough that if you do this ...DO NOT scorch the material or the tape! And do not cause what you're working on to go on fire! I do not speak from experience as I did not do any of that, but I can see it possibly being a problem for some people. It just needs some heat to work best...maybe a heat gun used judiciously...or even a blow dryer. Last...The backing on the tape is not easy to remove. To the manufacturer....you need to do something about the value for the money to the end user. You either need to improve on the initial adhesion of the adhesive you're using...or put the whole blow dryer thing in the instructions (or maybe the age of what I received caused that issue?) . Make the backing removal more user friendly in regards to peeling it off. Time will tell on the longevity of this product, but it's holding up so far.

Good stuff
They recommend that you cut your patch so it extends 2" on all side of hole to be patched. This will pretty much gobble up all the patch material in the box with one go. The patching material is very heavy and has a lot of adhesive on it. It does work good and should last the lifetime of what ever you apply it to. Be sure and hold a book or a flat piece of wood under what ever you are patching to get a good seal without wrinkles. And do both sides of the material. I used a small pizza/pie crust roller to smooth it out, hence the book and or piece of flat wood.

Very sticky, good and bad
EDIT: Now that I was able to get out with the snow suit, it handled multiple days in single and double digit snowmobiling without issue. A lot of movement as well as falling off the sled in powder and the repair is still holding strong with no water intrusion at all. In the extreme cold it did stiffen up but it was still pliable enough that it could bend. Bought this to repair a rip in a snow suit and it is STICKY. Had to use almost half the roll (my own fault) due to how sticky it was and trying to patch both the inner liner and outside material since this is a waterproof snow suit. It will grab ANYTHING, hair, dust, fiber, and itself. If it does end up sticking to itself, just scrap that piece. Once I was able to patch the inside and outside, the use of a heat gun (NOT FLAME, hair dryer will work too) did even more wonder to the adhesive. Get the patch hot enough to conform to the material and use your fingers to push it "further" into the material. The instructions do say "massage heavily" after applying. I have no worry about this keeping the suit dry nor falling apart with how sticky and pliable the patch was.

Perfect for repairs
Follow the directions and you won’t be disappointed. Our pop up canopy suffered major damage after a massive gust of wind sent it sailing. I thought it was trash for sure, but after finding that my particular canopy makes replacement pieces, all that was left was repairing the canvas of the pop up. This kit works great and will repair whatever you throw at it... as long as it’s listed under its type. Pay attention to what material you need fixing and double check you’re purchasing the correct kit. We’ve taken it camping already and I can report back that it held up the entire time and it really is a water tight seal. We had rain that weekend and the integrity of the patch held up. I just wish they came in larger strips, I ended up needing 2 boxes to repair the canopy. But, it’s very much worth the money. I saved $100 repairing my pop up vs buying a newer one.
