Finally replaced the old ripped pad.
I've had one of these in my Amazon cart *for years*. I just refused to pay for the wildly overpriced options that I saw go by. Recently, I think it was one of the Amazon bots that pointed out I could get one "used" for significantly cheaper than the current new prices. I found these folks advertising a pad in excellent condition and I rolled the dice. It's awesome -- working great. And I even appreciate the instructions that came with it. Never realized that turning it around could give you a different lumbar support experience! It arrived quickly and was indeed in excellent condition.

Totally, completely useless. Comes loose from the rails if you lean back just a little bit.
Pops loose with little provocation. Lean back just a little, and pop, it's off the rail. (and yes, I got the correct B size for the two dot chair). Honestly, it had been years since I bought one of these things to replace the failed original, but now I've got back issues, wanted some sort of lumbar support, and thought that surely the actual, genuine, overpriced Herman Miller version would have been updated by now to stay in place. I was wrong. This thing is totally useless.Same as it ever was. Same as it ever was.

Could not be easier to install
When I opened the box I had doubts - this thing is going to make a difference in lumbar support? From the outside (back) of the chair? It's a firm plastic, one piece. Lumbar support slides onto existing side panels, if you've tapped it on unevenly, just remove and put it back on, or gently tap to even it out. Then slide it down into position. Great support and comfort. I thought I was very comfortable without it, but with longer hours sitting, decided to try it. It's really added to comfort. Worth the investment. Any doubts disappeared.

Box looks like it’s been repacked.
Product came unwrapped in a Herman Miller box with no product literature or info. One side of box has office logix tape over original box tape which makes me suspect it’s been opened and potentially repacked. I can’t be certain it’s an OEM part, fits fine so not worth the hassle to return, will update if issues arise.

GREAT PRODUCT. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
GREAT PRODUCT. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.The new product fits the chair perfectly and does not pop out. Additional back support makes the chair incredibly comfortable.I initially ordered the wrong size, but Greg in Customer Service helped me return and replace with the correct size. To ensure you order the right size, reach behind the stamped, rectangular-shaped Herman Miller logo on the back of the chair, approximately 3 inches from the top. Feel for 1-3 raised "dots" behind the logo, which are small, and follow the instructions above on this web page from there.

far worse than the original
My original lumbar pad came with the chair, which is like 14 years old, but it finally tore and so I decided to replace it. These replacement pads, however, are vastly different from the original one. I've had my replacement pad replaced twice already, and I'm still not happy with it. The original one is far firmer than these replacements, and the plastic bracket is much stronger. The replacement pad would bend within a few weeks of use, and the plastic brackets are not stiff/tight enough that the pad will ride up the rail and you will have to constantly adjust it. Either Herman Miller's product are inferior now than it once was 10+ years ago, or they actually use a different product for the original and the replacements, hence the difference in quality. I've totally given up on replacing the lumbar pad, and I'm going to try out the posturefit. If that does not work, then I'll just stick a small pillow as a back support and be done with it.
