Excellent lights, battery last a while!
I wanted to add some lights next to my garden gate as the days are so short in the UK winter! It was always pitch black when I get home at 5pm and I was tired of fumbling around to find the gate handle. I wanted something bright but also with rechargeable batteries so I don't have to buy those big C or D batteries that never last long.It seems these are the only ones I could find that are USB rechargeable and not costing an arm! They came already charged but I still left them charged overnight just in case. The installation was easy, the screws were provided. I just had to drill the holes on my fence, put the screws in, hang the lights, and voilà!There are different modes as mentioned in the description, I choose the motion detection = light on for 15s one and it works like a charm.Because the lights are off and on stand by when there's no motion, I haven't had to charge them again since I got them 2 months ago! And it doesn't look like I will have to any time soon as the lights are still so bright!Little hint: because it's so bright, do not put them too close to you/low, as it kinda blinds you! I made the mistake of putting them at the top of my fence, next to my gate, which is too low. I should have put them above the gate on the wall.

Big, Bright and Powerful
The media could not be loaded. Great set of two outdoor security lights. The lights are solar powered and do not require any wiring or mains power, it makes them very easy to install and frees up where you can position them. The lights come with the screws and raw plugs so you don't need to buy any extra fittings. The lights are very bright and the motion detection works perfectly. If the lights do not get enough power from the sun then you can also charge them via USB, two USB wires are provided in the set. These lights are excellent, they have a very nice shape and emit a great amount of light. The lights have three different modes, you can set to a medium light that is constant, a dim constant light that goes bright with motion or just a bright light with motion. They are ideal for gardens as just a light or a security feature. Really happy with them.

Very bright, but need to be very close to sensor to activate
Update after about 18 months: -One died pretty soon after installing. However, the seller gave me a full refund for the one that died, so I can't complain there. The second is still going strong.Original rewiew: -Very bright lights! I charged using the provided USB cable, for an hour or two until it was dark. Then attached to our driveway fence. Very easy to install and you can then can easily remove again, if you need to boost the battery again with the USB charging point. I really like the USB charging option, as I can imagine during the winter (cold weather and short days) they could need a quick top-up.Early days yet, but my only gripe so far, is that I need to get very close before the sensor picks me up. In fact, the neighbours light goes on way before these and are much further away! Maybe they are designed to be higher up a wall, as opposed to shoulder height for the driveway? But I really just want the drive lit, not the whole area. I don't see any options for dawn-to-dusk, just the single option of sensor activation. But for the price and the power of these things, I'm pretty happy so far. If the senor issue is too annoying, I'll probably move these into the garden and buy some specifically for low down drive way lighting.UPDATE: If I had read the instructions I would have known! There IS a dusk-to-dawn option, although it does sound rather fiddly to be setting these up. They only stay on for 15 seconds and that definitely isn't adjustable.

Surprisingly Effective
You always have to worry these days buying anything on Amazon as reliability and genuineness seem to be on the wane…Anyway, I bought these as an alternative to some other ones that I bought, that were:A) SmallerB) Solar Power onlyC) RubbishThese are none of those things!!Bearing in mind it’s only (almost) spring, the one that gets the sun lasts a number of days without needing a charge and the one that only gets a bit of sun needs charging up every two or three days or so. This is not a problem and as the days get longer and the sun shines more, I’d be surprised if they need changing up at all. However, the fact that you can charge them up is a real plus point, and as they only hang on their fittings, taking them off to charge them is not a problem at all.I use these on setting 2, which is (when it gets dark) on low all night but brightens up when there’s motion sensed, and if you have them on motion sense only, the charge would probably last for ever! So, all in all, these are surprisingly good and I may well buy some more 👍🏻

Very bright, detection not the best
These for the £28 I paid are brilliant. Using them to light the back gate then the area outside that where the bins are. Makes putting out the rubbish much safer in the dark winter months. Gave them a full charge via the usb. Time will tell how long that lasts. You do need to be quite close to activate them 2m and be square on rather than approaching from the side. Also the fixing holes are made so you can place the unit over the screws in the wall and slide to the side for easy removal if you want to charge via usb. They are easy to for someone to remove if they up to no good so not really a security light. Still it’s a helpful light and perhaps a mild deterrent.
