Ordered the 4 point for the twin and the 6 point for the queen. The weight of the blanket makes it adhere well to the bed and conveys the feeling that you are comfortably wrapped up. Somewhat of a sleeping bag wrap. That cozy feeling makes for a wonderful sleep. The blankets breathe, are not bulky like comforters, and my small dog sleeps under the covers with no discomfort.Another reviewer suggested that the 4 point blanket is the best choice for a twin, while the 3.5 may not be. I agree. It drapes the bed well, and provides better coverage and warmth than a shorter blanket would. No bedskirt is needed for a nicely finished look. My twin is a low profile set.The 6 point fits my queen well but a bedskirt is needed for a finished look. Another reviewer suggested ordering an 8 point blanket for a queen, to get a bedspread look. For anyone with an overstuffed, or even average mattress and box spring, that is probably good advice. Not good advice for low profile sets.My dog is a Coton de Tulear, and these dogs do not shed. Ever. Not one hair in 3 years. They do need grooming. Not sure if wool is a good choice for households with shedding animals.

I am a lifelong camper who doesn't use sleeping bags. I prefer blankets. Most of mine are surplus and probably wool/poly blends. I also have these blankets on my bed at home. But...this blanket is the warmest single blanket I have ever slept under. I keep my bedroom set at 50 in the winter and all I needed was this and a single cotton sheet. Even my cat likes it, curling up in its folds sleeping on my hand as a pillow. If you ever want one wool blanket or want to buy someone one wool blanket, buy them this one. It is well worth the price.

Wanted a Hudson's Bay Point Blanket since I first saw one at the Canadian Pavilion at Epcot decades ago. I was leery about buying a heavy wool blanket, but this doesn't lie flat against you, so it's not too hot. Wish I had bought it years ago.Saves on utility bills. You can turn down the heat.It's like being in a warm cabin. Probably the only downside is that it's hard to get out of bed in the morning.Cat likes it too. It's thick enough to hold nice nesting grooves for her.Amazon's price for this is so much better than Woolrich's or anybody else's.

It's great: though I have a queen-size bed, I don't need to tuck it in (it's about 1' short on the width), and keep plenty warm under the covers even when I dial the heat down to 64.

I purchased a 4 Point Hudson Bay blanket on Nov 28th, 2018. From the research I did, I expected much more from Hudson Bay ( not worth the $489.00 I spent). It is just another wool blanket. I see now the price has dropped to $375.25 which is closer to what it should be.

This is the best blanket in the world. Keeps us just the right temperature while sleeping. It doesn't matter what the temperature in the room is, it's perfect. I would recommend this for anyone. It will last a lifetime. We have one and we got one for our daughter that goes to college in New England. She loves it and all her friends are jealous and want one too. They are pricey but so worth it.

we purchased one of these and also one of the similar Pendleton blankets. If you are looking for exceptional quality then buy either or both.
