Tough, galvanised latch. A chunky piece of metal.
We get strong winds on the East Coast and the latch I replaced had often bent when the gate had blown open. This one will stand a hurricane.

Not as sturdy as I thought it would be
I’m very disappointed with this item as it has broken already and I’ve only had it on my gate a very short time

This was an exact replacement of the existing one- made the job an easy one.

‘Does what is says on the tin’
Really very pleased with this. I’m a tiny 74 year old woman and had no trouble at all fitting this. It was done in minutes. All I needed was a screwdriver and some WD 40 to get the old screws out and now I have a lovely new latch on my gate.

Very good quality galvanised latch. Very well made.
Extra long thumb piece is ideal for the gate that I have fitted.

COMPLETELY WRONG OR DELIBERATELY WRONG DESCRIPTION !
I Purchased this Gate Latch Purely on The Description Saying That It Was "HEAVY DUTY".Absolutely wrong on every level.At Best Its Low To Low Medium Duty !I Feel I have Been Ripped off & If I had not opened the Bag I would have sent it back !
