Dr. BeckmannColour Run Remover White, 1 Count

I used this product the container method way after another reviewer said this is the best method to use (there are two methods on the box instructions; container method and washing machine method). I wanted to restore white clothing back to white after a grey dress had died my son’s white clothes horrid light grey. I left them to soak overnight,as per the instructions, and it’s worked! My son’s clothes are beautifully white again. I’m really impressed.

Used this in a front-loading washing machine. 60C, because the sweatshirt has an embossed soft logo and the care instructions state "cool wash". Followed the instructions for adding the Colour Run via the detergent dispenser.There was literally zero change. I won't bother trying again.

I used this product to remove red that had run into the sleeve of a cream T-shirt that had a neckline edged with red. It removed the red colour from the sleeve beautifully but turned the red edging around the neckline to camel! It is still wearable but with camel trousers rather than red ones!

I read the other reviews to do the container method and don't put it in the washing machine. I bought it so I could restore my 2 year old beloved bear back from the grey-ve (get it?). Boiled the kettle, put a third of the packet in 2L of water (same concentration as if I did the full packet), gave the bear a kiss for good luck, then bobbed it in the smelly solution. With a little stir, within minutes the bear had turned back yellow! Well impressed! and I have another 2 uses for restoring this little bear back to life.

***Note to All: Only use the container with boiling water, it’s the most effective method. Leave overnight. Then rinse and do regular wash in washing machine******Do not straight off the bat put it in the washing machine! Does not work and it’s a waste of time and packet!***

Instructions were clear and easy to follow. However, didn't take all colour out and left a blue hint all over towels. Maybe try another pack. Could be machine used as it's quite old!

Removed colour run from the white of the throw but it also took the colour of actual print - would not use it again on coloured patterned items.

So I managed to put my wife’s pride and joy white pedal pusher Levi’s in a wash with a bright orange fancy dress boiler suit, resulting in her jeans coming out pink! Needless to say she was not happy and I got the feeling that our marriage might be at risk if I didn’t sort it out.I bought this as a “hail mary” attempt to get the pink out, restore the jeans to their original pristine white and save my marriage!I boiled 6l of water, mixed in the powder and soaked the jeans overnight in a covered bucket as per the instructions and the next morning the jeans were looking good as new.Thank you Dr Beckmann - much better and cheaper that a marriage guidance councillor. :-)
