They are ok .not the brightest

The chalk was out of the little box and all broke in a million pieces! Was really disappointed!

They're lovely, but you should be sitting down and handle them gently. None arrived broken and in fact i was so excited the delivery man saw me jump up and delicately passed it to me by hand so he was very diligent in shipping. They're packed in such a way I have no idea how anyone WOULD recieve them broken unless it was a used box. That said you have to be gentle. They won't crumble right away but i did break two on my first day (snapped clean in half, at least, so still usable) and I recommend having some sand paper on hand to "sharpen" the edges as needed. They're brilliantly sheer though and the colour variety allows you to mark out your cutting and sewing lines as different. Theyll fade out after a few days of handling the fabric and disappear once washed out in a machine. That's a good thing in my books. I was having a hell of a time with my "air dry" fabric pen because the marks always vanished before I could even cut and finish the whole project!! I love these chalks and I'd happily buy the box again, probably a year or two from now once I've broken the whole set or worn them down from use. So again, just be gentle, or rather, don't be silly. Both times I broke them I was kind of standing and working at weird angles so I blame myself, really. Chalk does break if you're not careful. I've had absolutely no problems with them while I was sitting down. Best part is you can keep them all in the lovely box they come in to keep them preserved long.EDIT // I broke another one while I was distracted. I dropped a star off my review wondering if there are some more durable chalks on the market? I still really like them...

Really wanted to like these as we’ve been making felt stuffed animals with the kids. Unfortunately some of these arrived broken and the rest broke incredibly easily. I expected a little better quality than that. Certainly not kid friendly at all. Our kids were being very gentle, but to push down with any pressure to make a mark would result in a piece breaking off. All were junk after the first day. Disappointing.

As a beginner in sewing, I have been looking for a good tailors chalk. Before getting this product, I have tried the tailors pencils, they were good but don't work very well with thin single layer cloth (maybe I didn't know how to use it properly). I then bought a pack of traditional chalk, they work better on thin single layer cloth but the line appeared to be thicker than I wished. So I ordered this pack, it's a good value as there are 10 in a pack with different colors, they are smooth and worked perfectly on thin single layer cloth, and it draws think lines. A perfect product for me.

Like how they were packed for shipping...no breakage at all. I love having the selection of colors. Showing the red/orange used on a fabric. I like having a selection of colors to choose from to suit the color of the fabric I'm working with. When I use these up (which I will), I will be ordering again!

I wanna say the packaging is good. In theory it should be. I think it may be the actual product because 4 arrived broken and crumbled, which would be annoying if there wasn't so many in a box. Maybe they aged and broke cause the packaging really looks secure? They do the job well.
