The soft one is just flat out soft. You could wash your baby with it. The medium is kind of the same, maaaybe a bit more scruff. The one that is supposed to be the most scrubby is really nice! It does not have the harsh feel of the old loofah stuff, and it's also not the plastic-y feel of most of the cheap synthetic cloths I have tried. This is well made and exfoliating without being abrasive or scratchy. Also the edges are sewn so it doesn't snag on everything and fall apart in the wash. Very nice product. If you need some soft luxury washcloths buy the soft and medium, you will love them. If you are looking for some exfoliation go straight to the scrubby one. I will be buying five more of those for me, and several more of the soft and medium for my guests.

I bought the three pack. My daughter uses the softest, wife uses the middle grade and I use the most aggressive one. We all like them. I love mine. It leaves my skin feel very refreshed. Try it and I think you will be satisfied.

I purchases a variety 3-pack with one each soft, medium and tough towel. I've only tried the medium so far and love its cloth feel, excellent soap foaming, and long length. I was looking for an alternative to the usual Asian scratchy, synthetic feeling washcloths and this fit the bill. Haven't tried the soft or tough ones yet but the soft one feels nice to touch while the tough one feels somewhat scratchy.
