Fawlty Towers: The Complete Collection: Every Soundtrack Episode of the Classic BBC TV Comedy

For anyone who enjoys the 'Fawlty Towers' and also enjoys audio programmes, you will love this set! There are introductions to the different episodes by John Cleese giving background to the inspirations behind the episode. Within each episode Manuel gives some explanation to the action in the form of a letter to Mama which works really well. I already had two episodes of 'Fawlty Towers' as part of a comedy pack of CDs and thoroughly enjoyed listening to them so, when I had some Amazon vouchers to spend for my birthday, I decoded to buy the whole series - I'm so glad I did! I hope you enjoy them as much as I am doing!

I have them in my car to listen to on long journeys.Fawlty Towers is my favourite Comedy of all time.

I bought this for my Husband to listen to in the car on the daily commute. He enjoys this. It's nice to be able to listen to the episodes and picture the tv episodes

just got to laugh

Fawlty Towers had a lot of visual humour so I was a bit worried about whether it'd translate well to audio - I needn't have worried. Andrew Sachs as narrator, in-character as Manuel, does an amazing job of linking the segments together. Fawlty Towers is very much a product of its time, and hearing John Cleese introduce each episode to put it in context was great and really took the edge off some of the humour that's somewhat less acceptable now.

Seen show many time but to listen is a different game too much shouting by basil
