Works Perfectly
I mounted mine in a wooden light I designed. It's silicone glued beneath .25 inches of poplar. Even with that much material between the switch and your finger, it still switches perfectly. In fact I can hover my finger just above the surface of the wood (for a COVID-19 contactless experience :-)) and the switch activates as expected. Highly recommended!
