Expert Shield Crystal Clear Screen Protector for Fujifilm X100V Camera

This is a revised review and I have increased the rating to five stars. I put this on an a new Fuji X100VI to protect the rear screen. There are two screens in the package. When I installed the first screen, there were a lot or air bubbles when I put it on. I wrote a review identifying the problem and I reached out to Expert Shield through Amazon. The company is sending me a new package with two screens. They also sent me a video how best to install the screen. When I installed the second screen, I followed the instructions in the video and in the accompanying email that Expert Shield sent me. No bubbles this time and easy installation. Great product and excellent customer support.

I've used this brand before, and been very pleased with it.This time, I had one pesky little bubble that would NOT come out.Turns out, the "bubble" was a dust spec. As the company points out on their website, "Believe it or not, this is the most common type of bubble."Two pieces of cellophane tape did the trick: one to lift the film, the other to remove the dust (turns out it was on the film, not the LCD screen).Point is, this is all explained on the instruction sheet. And the manufacturer's website. Familiarize yourself with the installation instructions, and be prepared for dust. It's everywhere.

First of all let me state that I visited their website, read the directions thoroughly, and watched the video carefully. I had all the necessary tools on hand: 3 M painters tape, a powerful small flashlight, a credit card and my own sticky tape. Everything. I felt confident about following the extensive directions supplied by the company. Here are the pitfalls, and why their product FAILS:1. When aligning the protector and placing the painters tape, the protector bottom in contact with the camera is VERY VERY SLIPPERY. It is just about impossible to get a perfect alignment...but I did it over and over again until it appeared to drop perfectly. Yet, in the critical next step it did NOT. It dropped slightly off center, and created a horizontal edge bubble that would not smooth out. Their slick little page on how to deal with bubbles cleverly avoids the edge bubble, which may be the most likely problem.2. After removing the bottom sheet, exposing the gel, and dropping, I was surprised to see numerous bubbles under the protector, and two edge bubbles that refused to come out. The instructions say to rub with finger and/credit card. Most did come out, but my right edge bubble took at least 15 minutes of dithering. My top edge bubble would not budge.3. Don't attempt to lift the protector after finishing. You may very well damage your camera surface. I tried a toothpick and my nail to lift it off but was unsuccessful.The final result is just OK. An edge bubble at the top, a few tiny bubbles in the center, and me feeling frustrated. In the future I will ONLY buy glass protectors which have gone on cameras without a hitch. This product STINKS! Just my two cents. I have had over a dozen high end cameras and have used many different brands of protector, but this is the worst I have encountered to date.

The screen requires a bit of care in aligning, and then smoothing into place to remove all bubbles. Just follow the instructions carefully, and the result should be perfect. Used for a camera LCD screen.

I have installed a handful of protectors like this before, but for some reason, I went through both of the included protectors and neither adhered well. i tried another brand, and the cleaning kit was better and I got it to stick quickly and easily.The issues I had were almost certainly from me going to fast, but compared to the other brand I bought, this was inferior in my opinion.

I have used Expert Shield products before. Like them a lot.No issues. Nice they send you two in the packet, just in case.

30 minutes after arrival it's all in the trash.
