These work great
These solar rings are amazing! They do a great job with heating our pool. We put them on and immediately felt the temperature change the following day. They are much more easy to work with than the usual solar blanket sheets that we purchased over the past few years. When not in the pool they stack easily in the shade of our patio and can be put in the pool again at the end of the day to help keep the heat in overnight. We have already suggested this product to another friend of ours who has a pool.

Made my pool smell bad
These rings are easy to blow up but there are so many that it’s cumbersome. They are hard to take in and out of the pool. I left mine in the pool because the pool was just getting set up and water still cold. After a few days the pool began to smell bad. The filtering system doesn’t work right with these on top of the water so you do have to take them in and out daily or you will get a swamp like I did. Save your money and buy an actual heater. Not worth it.

Works as advertised, but they don't last as long as expected
10 of these rings in my 18,000 gal pool do a great job of keeping the water warm and comfortable. However, at $30 a ring, I would expect them to last longer than a few seasons, after which they start to deteriorate. The included patches don't work at all and are pretty much useless if you have a leak. Pro: Works great; easy to manage (compared to a large, single pc cover); easy to store during the winter, look good (when new). Con: Pricey, about 2-3 seasons of useful life, the valves sometime leak and require reinflating. Overall: A very good way of keeping your pool warm if you don't have a heater and don't like the single piece "bubble wrap" style covers.

This work very well?
We don't have solar for our pool - We've purchased solar rings before and needed more. We compared reviews about solar rings on Amazon and are so happy that we did. You do need an inexpensive pump to blow them up. You do need to take care not to bash them around-they are nota toy to hit . Remove them from the pool without scraping them against hard surfaces. If you do all these things, you'll be very satisfied as they make the pool alot warmer !

Solar Rings
I only had my solar rings less than a week and 3 of them have already deflated. Contacted seller, but no reply as now they will handle the situation. They had patches with them, but with them being new, I fell they should replace them.

Updated and happy! They work but unfortunately they don't last long
Update: after contacting the seller they replaced all that we're deflating/had holes in them. 5 stars now for this company and the solar rings.4 stars because they work. They do, but only when they actually stay in the pool or they're not busted. I bought 14 of these. Just 2 weeks later of use and only 6 still work. The other 8 have holes in them. I'd only buy these if you're extremely patient and never ever ever have wind.

What people don't tell you about these solar rings
So the product operated exactly as every review you read. Out of this pack of 12 I had 2 that had to be returned right away because they wouldn't hold air. Another 2 that I probably should have returned due to slow leaks. I honestly can't tell you if they helped with the evaporation because it was over 100 for two months straight but what nobody tells you about using these inflatables is that they trap all of the bugs, and leaves, and general debris that floats on the surface and typically flows into the skimmers. It all stays on the surface of the water in between these inflatables until you get a nice smelly bio-film on the surface of the water no matter how much chlorine you keep adding. Only way to combat it is constantly take them out and put them back in. Waste of $300 for me.

These did not work for us as most would not stay inflated.
I read several reviews and despite the negative ones decided to give these a try on our heated pool. I followed the instructions and carefully inflated the rings.Pros- these items shipped very quickly and the seller responded to my return request promptly. These would have provided a safe cover to prevent accidental drowning.Cons- difficult to properly inflate as the inflation tube and caps were smashed flat from the tight packaging. Majority of rings would not stay inflated (see photos). Anything stronger than a light breeze and the rings would blow off the pool. Rings would be difficult to properly store if left inflated. If they had worked I had planned to build a PVC rack in my shed for safe and easy storage. They are expensive for what you get. I bought 12 to see how well they worked but it would have taken another 24 to cover my 18-36 in ground pool.I am currently waiting on my refund to process. The seller received them 4 days ago. I will update this review as far as the refund process when it is complete.
