Couldn't put it down
Really enjoyed this book, so much I read it in one sitting. It seemed a little rushed near the end when the truth came out, but I still enjoyed it immensely.

A wonderful story
This book was very well written. It has everything a reader wants: love, intrigue, danger, friendship, and a happy ending.

An interesting, enjoyable yarn with several twists at the end.
This is the seventh book in Karen's series of romantic novels, & like her other works, it keeps the reader engaged & keen to read on at all times. Also, like her other stories, there are twists at the end of the tale to help explain certain actions, & to bring clarity about previously unknown past events. The plot is a good one, & Karen's narrative is as good in this piece as in any of her previous books, possibly better in terms of her descriptive passages. Not as good as 'Prima Donna' & 'The Perfect Present', but well worth the read if you like romantic novels.

Surprise ending
The story line kept my interest once I got past the first few chapters. Somewhat predictable but it did have a surprise ending. I could do without all the discussions about designer clothing. One of the author's better reads.

A very good read. I must admit that Christmas at Tiffany's and the Perfect Present are my all time favourites and I have read them over and over.and whilst I did enjoy Christmas in the Snow it did not seem to have the same punch as the Perfect Present. However that being said I must admit Karen Swan cannot produce novels quickly enough for me. This book is a must if you are a Swan fan

Could easily be enjoyed at any time of the year
Although it is called Christmas in the Snow, I think this is a book you could happily read at any time of the year as Christmas isn't the main focus. It took me a while to get into the book as initially, I wasn't too keen on the hard nosed business woman Allegra seemed to be. However, I soon became caught up in the mystery surrounding her family and to understand her motivations more. There were so many secrets which came to light throughout the book, that it was quite a gripping read. I enjoyed the Swiss setting when Allegra and her sister Isobel went to Zermatt to find out more about their family. The snow covered ski resort sounded idyllic although I admit I'd be more likely to appreciate the après-ski rather than the skiing itself! The business aspect of the story didn't appeal quite so much to me although there were some interesting characters introduced to the book through this storyline such as Massi and Zhou and of course, handsome Sam who was a character I moved between loathing and loving several times. All in all, I really enjoyed this book and thoroughly approved of the romantic ending.

Christmas in the Snow
I purchased this book 5 years ago and only now got round to reading it and simply wow. The book is set in the murky world of hedge funds and located between London and Zermatt (which is now on my list to travel to). The story is about Allegra Fischer and the secrets and drama in the Corporate world as well as family secrets going back 60 years which unravel once a body is found on the snowy slopes of Zermatt. Had me gripped from start to finish - i have hardly slept in the last 24 hours reading this from end to end - on a hot summers day in London - as far away from Xmas as one could be! Karen Swan has quickly become one of my must read authors and I am so looking forward to reading the rest.

Much more than a Christmas romance
I chose this book as I'd been having a shed load of stress and just needed an easy to read romance to enjoy before trying to sleep. This book was so much more than I expected. Well away from the usual style of so many romance novels. Plenty of twists and turns to keep the story moving along and an impressive knowledge of the finance industry, hedge funds etc (no, not a bit boring). The family history that came to light throughout the book was also fascinating and gave the book a nice edge. The book was a decent length and it gripped right to the end. Definitely worth a read. I shall look for other titles from the same author.

This story had me hooked from the first few pages
I've previously read Christmas at Tiffany's, The Perfect Present and Christmas at Claridge's by Karen. I adored all of these so back in 2014 when I saw that she had a new book coming out I immediately pre-ordered it. I however suck and haven't found time to read it until now. This book follows sisters Allegra and Isobel. Allegra is a workaholic. She might as well live at the office she spends that much time there. Isobel is happily married with a baby boy.I loved Zermatt. It sounded like the most magical place, especially at Christmas time. This story had me hooked from the first few pages. As with Karen's previous books I struggled to put it down. This book twists and turns and for the most part I didn't see them coming. This really was a lovely story that you really should find the time to read.

Suitable for the weekend
A good book to read in winter. The characters are interesting, the style is basic and the plot is average. Wonderful places are described and the atmosphere is there. However I'm not sure if the Alps are really like this and if it's possible to resolve problems that quickly. Best to read fast and lend it to someone else, so that the book keeps circulating. Christmas is about sharing and don't we all love to read about a simpler world where there are feelings? Mind you I've read worse romances and sometimes I need a break from the beauties of serious literature.
