Nice comprehensive depiction of the BABOK Guide. I like the extras like the test cases and quiz questions. I would have like to see some pictures and example for the chapters on the techniques.

Still working thru this book, but the presentation is well laid out and easy to follow. The tests at the end of each chapter give both a good review and test of your comprehension of the materials. It ties each chapter to the BABOK Guide version 3. Nicely done.

I became interested in the new book on business analysis methodology because I need to evaluate how software I implement will be used in organizations. Nobody wants software on its own; it has to solve specific problems. So why not take advantage of the techniques used by professional analysis professionals?The purpose of the book is to prepare for the successful passing of the exam. Therefore, the first chapters are devoted to preparation methodology, training planning and other similar issues.The main part of the book, of course, is devoted directly to business analysis. It was interesting to see this process from the side of professional analysts. Before that, I used the brief recommendations of CRM manufacturers.The most important thing for me personally is a large number of analysis techniques. It makes sense to at least briefly familiarize yourself with them, so that in the future you can remember the appropriate one and, if necessary, clarify how to use it. The book does not give a detailed analysis of the techniques - after all, the book is aimed at systematizing the existing work experience before the exam. Moreover, a detailed analysis of each would increase the already large volume of the book.It's good that at the end of the chapters there is a small quiz - how well you have mastered the material.It would be interesting to apply the knowledge presented in the book to everyday situations. I think this is what superheroes from movies do, who can quickly figure out the problem and make the right decision :)
