Smith Guide’s Choice Sunglasses – Polarized Performance Sports Active Sunglasses – for Men & Women

These sunglasses provide a lot of protection for the eyes and sides of the face, but they still look great. I use them full time in the sun but they also work well as motorcycle glasses. Mine are polarized with brown tint and the vision is flawless. I’ve owned most of the pricey brand name sunglasses but these are my go to glasses.

I have the copper bronze mirror lenses in the gray guides choice frames and the base camp frames and they are by far my favorite glasses. They filter sunlight extremely well without “shading”. Everything is still bright and colors pop better then normal vision. I also have a pair of guides choice in the blue green lenses but to me they make things appear darker compared to the copper bronze which filter light while brightening. Both are great for taking glare off the water for sight fishing here in the Chesapeake bay. Our water is typically an emerald green color. The copper bronze take the cake for this but that could be different off shore in the blue water. The frames are light and stay on your face well haven’t had any nose slip even on hot days.only complaint is the price. At 200+ Dollars I would t call it a value but if you want to splurge and not regret it these will accomplish that. Smiths are my go to.

Great glasses. Had been using Costas, but my eyes were giving me trouble after fishing for 5-6 hours. No longer having trouble with these glasses. Comparing them side by side with Costas these make everything crisper with better colors. Lenses will take a beating without scratching. They do transition nicely from inside light to cloudy days to sunny times. Don't really see any difference with them staying cleaner then other glasses. As for the built in string holder, you're in for a ride with that evil piece of business. Theoretically, you just pop some tab pieces in and out. Yea, sure buddy. I'd rather clean some public restrooms than experience that bit of torture. And if you have long hair, you'll be in for a real treat after messing with those tabs from hell. Be warned, after switching tabs around, you'll never get those little bastards to lay flush again. No worries, until you go to take your glasses off and clumps of hair come out. Dabbing clear nail polish along tab edges has solved the problem, but still not ideal. Overall, great glasses, perfect for bald people. Oh, yea, the fish, cause that's all that really matters, right? Yes, you can see all those fish just waiting on you to catch them.

Size: I have a BIG Head, theses glasses run large and are a great fit. The flex hinges for the arms give a nice comfortable fit, not being too tight at all.They are Very light weight. They come with an eye glass tether/ keeper lanyard, so don'tpurchase a separate on. Go on to YouTube to see how to attach it. The directions that come with them are useless.Stayed on the water several hours in them kayak fishing, with no eyestrain from glare.I'll have to update on durability of lenses in a few weeks.These Replaced Oakley Spilt Shots That I really like, but they scratch too easily. Replacement lenses for Oakley's almost cost as much as this new pair of Smith's!Been fishing Hard in these since March of this year, no issues ,NO Scratches!!!

The glasses were effective as polaroid glasses but not as helpful as I hoped compared to my regular amber lenses.

This is my second pair of Smith chromapop lens. I learned about Smith from a friend and fishing guide buddy. I find they are equal to or better than my Costas but priced a bit better. The green helps on the inshore water we boat and fish on. I like that they come with a keeper. I wear sun glasses about every time I step outside during the day. And I’m tough on them. Smiths seem to hold up well. I wish they had a broader range of frame styles. But on the whole - good lens tech, good fit, decent value. ( that’s relative as quality sunglasses are priced ridiculously high).

Purchased for fly fish trout, mostly on rivers. I bought these in polychromatic copper along side Costa Fintail 580G copper with the intension of keep one and returning the other. Went to the river side and tried both on side-by-side. I found these to have better clarify than the costas, could see the river bottom more clearly, and overall more enjoyable to look through. The tops of my ears were slightly sore after 13ish hours on the river. Probably to be expected of any shades, though. I also expected to be able to see more as the sun set given that these are essentially transition lenses to my knowledge. Low-light specific glasses any still be needed for evenings. I found the face-fit to be more comfortable as well. My face is probably of about average size and shape.Returned the costas and kept these Would highly recommend to an angler

I received the sunglasses it’s was nice comfortable and fit to my face and looks quality, the reason of the three star is I ordered black Lens Color what I received is brown Lens color which is the color I don’t like, I returned it and waiting the black Lens, new updates I received the replacement but I find out the body color different and without sunglasses case and quality different as well, I return it and refund.

these glasses would be too large for some tastes but if you want excellent coverage of your eyes while seeing via chromapop lenses, these are the glasses.

The sunglasses came in a battered box without the Integrated, detachable sunglass leash. It didnt seem like a new product, more like a return that hadn't been looked at to see if it was ok. Also described as Matte black, these were the charcol model with black lenses, so I decided to return them - was supposed to be a nice gift for my partner. On organising the return, I discovered I needed to send them back to Slovakia (Amazon Fulfillment Centre) from the UK and Amazon only provided the label, not the postage cover. Also, no indication of a postal supplier to use. Apparently I should get £15 reimbursement, out of the £17.24 I had to spend at Parcelforce to return them, but I'm still out of pocket and annoyed when the item was incomplete/faulty in the first place.UK buyers beware of returns to Amazon EU - you can thank Brexit.

There are hundreds of reviews out there that will tell you about the quality of Smith products. So I don't need to repeat any of that. I have Three Smith items, for fishing, for snow, and for shooting. I have had to use Smith's customer service and warranty for one of the items and they took care of the problem perfectly. They went beyond what I could have reasonably expected. You should already know that with Smith you are getting a great product. You also need to know they are a great company that stands behind their products too!
